  1. lol. my rear one is even worse.. the fronts just smashed from those rolly pollys on green. badlands
  2. mine are that way now too.. i figure i'll get sliders and forgetaboutit.
  3. if the cap has burn marks on the inside, notice where.. they should be right in the middle of the "spark catcher".. otherwise you have timing issues.. seems that the 02 doesn't always register with the ecu when bad.. may want to clean it up as well as the map sensor while you're at it.

    saving gas

lol.. tune-up! keep everything tip top shape.. anything like roof rack etc. that creates drag, you may want to take off. a buddy of mine says he gains 2-3mpg better when he takes all of that kind of stuff off for the winter.
  5. hey slick, just so you don't freak out about the smell.. it smells like NASCAR.. lol.. if you've been to a race you'll know what i mean..
  6. yeah, those belts have nothing to do with any of the shifting problems.. linkage adjustment? there could be a bunch of things.. not sure if we have enough info to continue guessing..
  7. lol.. not sure if mine would fall apart but it would show all the scars.. black is a wonderful "color." in pictures, it looks like it has a showroom shine on it but that couldn't be the furthest from the truth..
  8. slick, the only thing i recall is that the allignement guides (looks like a wide wedding band) fall off from the underneath side of the head when you lift it.. make sure not to loose them.. there are 2 in each head.. cross corners.. can't recall if i got new head bolts or not.. don't remember if they are the "stretchy" kind or not.. if they are, just get a new set (some have not, but why risk it) haynes should be fine and of course you have us..
  9. o2 sensor.. check the ecu codes.. (sticky in the garage)
  10. timing would be my guess too. check the cap, rotor and wires pronto.. the other thing that this sounds like a bit is the o2.. did you ever run any codes for this? check all your sensor connections..
  11. 2mi? shoot, i'd just do it and not worry about it..
  12. yeah, that's weard.. no such problems here but then i still have mud inside from a november run..
  13. tie wire also works wonders.. LOL
  14. did you bring that 4banger from (D)? what's you mpgs or L/100?
  15. yeah, you're probably pushing it there.. check your manual and see what the towing limit is.. that will answer your question realy quick.
  16. yeah. the muffler has nothing to do with emissions.. just noise..
  17. try the dealer.. they may still have them.. never know..
  18. you have to splice it in.. it may not be your FL.. maybe it's the PTC thing effecting the starting.. fix that first and see.. good luck
  19. i think it's in the bundle there.. might have to open it up..
  20. i think ticker is right.. use the OD unless you're in a hilly area or something like that.. as to traffic: unless you keep going from 45mph to 10 all the time i'd just keep using the OD...
