i suspect center link. probably the most common cause for the shimmy on the pathy. bjs--> lift the truck to get one wheel up. then push/pull on the wheeling holding the wheel at 6 and 12. then do the same at 9 and 3. in vertical you shouldn't have any movement. horizontally very little. if there is excessive play look at the CL while doing the pulling.. if it travels significantly then it's shot.

guys, those aren't surges though. 2k+ rpms don't sound right either. mine high idles around 1200-1500 and low idle around 700. those are about the same numbers i was getting on my '89. nissanperson, cleaning the maf maybe the thing to do first. O2 could bad but it runs good when cold and crappy when it warms up... those were the symptoms on my 94 anyway.. any ECU codes? (sticky in the garage)

mws, we talked about these sometime back.. no idea when or where in here but, mpg with NG are lower as is the HP but NG is clean and way cheaper, definitely warranting a converion or a dual fuel setup.. that's what i would like to do as it would extend my range dramatically. NG is somewhat hard to find but there is at least one station in every major city.. most within tank's distance apart.

i have a cobra too and don't think it will fit under my stereo either.. thinking of mounting mine under the steering wheel column somewhere.. i don't really have any other free room.
