  1. The acid venting is a sign of overcharging, which makes sense because you were at 19 volts. More than likely, the reason it went back to normal voltage for the last mile is because the alternator died so you were running off of just the battery.
  2. I have only done it on diesels cause the filter holds about two quarts.
  3. If that's the case, they should give parts away in Aberdeen.
  4. So you have 12.7 on black/yellow when it leaves the ignition, but not when it reaches the ignition relay? What year is yours?
  5. Sorry, I am off weekends. I would like to explore some of the roads that go between Wynoochee and Hood Canal some time. Blewett is a bit far for me. I will keep in touch and if I have some mid-week time off I will let you know.
  6. Just curious, how would it degrade performance? It's only purpose is to catch gas fumes from the tank.
  7. Not on the sunroof topic, but on your steering wheel controls. The only one I have done with steering controls required a separate module to make the controls work with the new radio. The PO had left everything in the dash, but not hooked up. So I had to tear everything apart to find out why the steering controls and rear DVD were not working. Then download wiring diagrams for the equipment that they purchased. After that it was easy. I would never pay the people at best buy/car toys type places to touch my vehicle, I have had to correct too much of their shoddy work. If you take it in, take to a specialty car customization shop.
  8. To be honest, the engine and front end work combined will probably cost more than the vehicles book value. Unless you really want to keep the Pathfinder, it might be time to sell and get something else. If you were doing all the work yourself, it would be a different story.
  9. I bought Falken wildpeak MT. They were only a few dollars more than the at3w.
  10. You would think he could get a better spray tan with his money. But maybe he is a Chester the Ceetah fan?
  11. I mainly travel on dirt trails, but I am starting to get more into wheeling. I really don't know what the wheeling areas around here offer in terms of terrain. The only thing I know about Kendas is that they are well respected in the motorcycle/dirt bike/atv world. Good to know what you have heard about them. I am leaning more towards the Falkens, but am unsure if they would be aggressive enough for wheeling terrain around here.
  12. I don't know of any. I am trying to hook up with a local off road group. They are planning a trip to Tahuya soon. Stay tuned.
  13. That's about right. It's 33 miles to the highway, takes about an hour. Takes about an hour 40 minutes to get to Olympia for the weekly shopping.
  14. By Wynoochee lake in the middle of the Olympic National Forest.
  15. Google says it's about 4 hours from me.
  16. Sorry, most of mine stuck to the underside of the carpet. The rest was so hard it broke out in big chunks. If yours is hard and still stuck to the floor pan, I would leave it, clean really well and bedline over it. If it is gummy, that's a different story.
  17. I have been shopping for tires for awhile now, the ones I have are on their last legs. Unfortunately, I have had to buy tires for my truck and do some repairs to the truck and my wife's car, so my tire budget for the pathfinder isn't what it was. I am looking at the falken wildpeak atw3 or the Kenda klever Mt kr29. I wanted to go 33x10.5R15, but there are very few options and all cost too much. I can get five (need new spare too) of the ones I listed in 32x11.5R15 for the same price as four of the 33s. Anyone have experience with the falkens or kendas? This is not a DD, it is a trail only rig. It is only on pavement to get to and from off roading. Thoughts?
  18. This. When I worked at Ford, they recommended cross rotation, and if you had a full size spare to put that in the rotation. Even showed a diagram in the owners manual.
  19. Most auto parts store can turn brakes.
  20. Tree a foot in diameter? That's just a sapling around here! Great list by the way.
