  1. Harbor freight sells the snap ring pliers for $3.50/$24.89 the cheap one's are set tip, the highest have changeable tips for different types of snap rings
  2. I'm so glad you guy's get to have all the fun, I guess we Washington hicks are missing out on all those fun headaches and stress management moments. I know that at least where I live, there isn't any thing required, heck I even avoid the rapid transit taxes. I guess I just not lucky enough....oh well....LOL I don't want to sound jealous or something like that. Just counting my blessing
  3. Took it to Safeway and bought my wife roses
  4. I have the mile marker type, precise1 has it right, very reasonable price and 4x4parts shipped pretty fast to me. They are very easy to install and look really nice
  5. Installed the new wind deflector, and have already noticed that I don't need to run rear wiper as much, washed ( pressure) first time I have washed it at all since we purchased from the daughter and boy did it need it, there was real thick moss growing along the window seams, WELL I think it made run smoother, cleaner air I guess, but it was quieter. Also vacuumed the back out. The theme here....now that the pathfinder is up and running, efforts have been changed to getting it cleaned up and looking better, and smelling like a truck, not old rubbish..LOL, it's all fun though...
  6. I got the support struts for the hatch at jy for $10 they are still new, manufacturing date 12/20/13. the only thing is that I was just going to ask this very question..go figure it was already in here...so I guess I have to get the cut off tool and make a few cuts. The new ones come with the c clip style.
  7. Wow, gotta get down over a thousand...hmm, I will have to take a look at the FSM later and see if I can find out anything. You have a couple guy's there in California that might have some tips, in the end, someone will get you some good details.
  8. There's also the torque converter to think about, I haven't seen it on the pathfinder, but I have had a couple converters go bad, they acted like he described above. It gotta do with it not building up enough pressure in the blade area. While sitting still they'll loose pressure and then when you get it going it will slowly receive enough fluid and lock up properly. I'm not a mechanic by any means, just have experienced same thing in couple different Detroit trucks...good luck, precise1 won't steer you wrong, one of the guy's here that really knows his stuff.
  9. What does no/1717 stand for, what part failed?
  10. Fixed the problem with the horn not working, replaced the vacuum line for cruise control, wasn't activating when turned on. Replaced a couple fuses. Prep the new rear wing ( prime and paint)
  11. Especially with all the work you have done.whew you have my symphony, get to a chance try going to harbor freight, for simple winches they have 9 & 12k winches that are very reasonable prices. I spent $150 for the 12k model, $20 mounting plate and $10 for the wireless remote. I had coupons from different truck magazine's that helps keep costs down also. Have fun though.
  12. $20 for both the lights, .99 cents for the two struts, $2.99 for the speaker covers, and $26 for the rear wing. Plus alot of free circuit breakers, fuses, and spare light bulbs. I just couldn't get a single working fog light.
  13. Took it out to local pick n pull, found a few goodies for the truck, my partner in crime wife found the best piece, a full intact rear wing, and rear hatch struts. Also found a couple good tail lights and speaker covers that I was missing. I hope they fit.
  14. My project truck is now roadworthy, I just have one small problem, my adorable/loving wife now says its her truck, after she took it for a test drive, she love's it...whats a guy to do...LOL

You can share...couples that play together stay together :)

  15. Pressure washed alot of the green film that's been growing while the work was getting done, all this rain can make moss grow just about anywhere, LOL, and I let the wife drive it today and I don't know if she will let me have it back, she loves it, I guess the 04 titan LE isn't a bad 2nd place vehicle, hard to beat the power
  16. Yep, now just got to convince the better half...LOL trip to woods would be a great thing.
  17. Took it out for a good test drive, on and off road, the on road went well as you can ask for, OFF road really surprised me with the trucks ability to soak up the bumps, and the traction amazing and I never did get into four wheel drive. Sorry no pictures though, can't wait to get it out for a real good trail trip.
  18. Went with the 4x4parts site and have been really happy with it, as stated above, the kit came with pan hard bracket, shocks, coils, uca's, bushings, and the steering brace. It aligned right out, and now sits 3inch higher, and goes straight down the road.
  19. Hey, I have to say thank you guy's, the steering box adjustment worked just as you said, now it's nice a tight, truck is driving almost as good as the Titans steering. Now I still have to see if I have a bad wheel seal, however our rental property is taking lead, roof is leaking around the fireplace and renters say it's leaking into the garage. I can't wait for Sun to come out....
  20. Adjusted the steering box, test drove, no more wandering about, it now goes straight down the road.
  21. Unlock it and open door, crack the Windows...
  22. Does the vibration get worse under power and less off power? If so then you would still have a drive train issue. Even though the u joints are pretty new could still be bad. On my 442 growing up, I went thru 4 different set's to get a good match. Also as B said, you might have a slightly off drive line, put it on flat surface and roll test it, like a pool stick. If it wobbles, its bent. The redneck way I know, but at least you will know..
  23. Did the photo of brace help you design your brace? I hope they helped you out. G
