B was just saying that brace helped and now really good with everything else replaced, then I accidentally posted twice ie double tap...LOL all's good..
-
After installing a brace from a/c my front shutter was much better, after all new tie rods and center link, tension rod bushings and alignment it's riding very smooth. Also includes a 3 inch lift.

After replacement of the OLD brake pads and shoes, was having the same thing happen to my 95. So I went the cheating way out....while having the alignment done, had shop power bleed/ adjust. For $60 the brakes are tight and reactive, plus my ebrake is nice and tight, holds the truck now. All you might need is to have it bled under pressure?

steering box and rear axle seal how to please
Nissanland replied to Nissanland's topic in The Garage
Cool guy's, thanks I will try the steering box next time home. If anyone has good pictures of seal replacement on rear axle would be great. Thanks again -
Look at the precious metal thing so shiny......got get your precious....lol

I have been searching for information all night on these two items, the alignment shop says that the steering box was going out, but I've read something about it was adjustable, but just can't find the information. The other problem found during the alignment/brake flushing, adjusting is the rear axle seal on the right is said to be leaking, I haven't yet been able to jack up truck and inspect thoroughly, just a quick visual look at what looks to me like brake fluid on the axle. Again I can't find anything written up on the seal replacement. I really don't have the time or patience for a major takedown. I would really appreciate any good write-up with pictures if possible. Just when I thought I would be able to get a chance to enjoy this truck....

Took it in for the alignment, found out that I have a bad steering box, need to see if I can adjust it. Also the bad news is I may have a rear axle seal leaking, and from what the alignment shop says, you have to pull the axle apart from inside out...uggg..but hey it drives a hole lots better.

Xtreme engineering ( at its finest) LOL -
Spent the whole day under it, out came the bad/worn out center link, tie rods and tension rod bushings.in went the good parts, now the front end is tight, just not aimed strait. LOL Adjusted the torsion bars just to fine tune the hight of lift. Took for test drive down the gravel drive way, and I have to say that the alignment is way out, of course I will be taking it in for that and brake fluid flush/tightening, adjust the parking brake since I hadn't been able to get it done since I put new brake pads and shoes on last time home. I'm almost done with the mechanical work.

1993 Pathfinder 24mm tie-rod end lock bolt.
Nissanland replied to MrEviLDeD's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Are you replacing both the tie rods or just the outer? Are you reusing the sleeve or replacing it? -
I installed the new Moog tension rod bushings, got lucky the holes were still round, the old bushing sleeves had holes in them and the driver side bushings had separated into four smaller bushings. hopefully tomorrow gets the center link and tie rods done, here's to hoping....

95 xe with a 3 inch lift kit, 32/11.5/16 will fit but I was rubbing just a bit on the rear at mud flaps, I trimmed the inner portion of them. Now no rubbing. I'm having fun building mine, hope you do with your truck. Welcome to the family...we all love pictures.

Mount a separate speaker, unless you want alot of interference, you would want a automatic audio override switch that activates each time you key up the mic, and the Midlands should have a built-in speaker. Most of the Midlands are rebadged cobra radios. A good quality external though shouldn't cost much.
-
On semi trucks we use the cb antenna for both the radio and cb. We use a splitter and the one doesn't effect the other at all. No bleed over in speakers.
-
I'll get it next time I hit either of them.
-
Have you replaced or inspected the tension rod bushings, if they are loose you can get a wander/wobbling feel at speed.
-
Just a bit for you that don't have the patience to set up a wired cb you can get a good hand held cobra from pilot or flying j truck stop for $50. the perfect size and weight and no wires...
-
I'll have to check that out with the air, thx for the suggestion
-
We have the same one in our attic, good radio, just as you put it. A bit big for the pathfinder size wise. I would mount it to the back of your center console. Probably going to do that our self with the same radio, just a 95 pathfinder.

All of these are good resource to get the most information to make good choices..Thx all

Are these tires any good on the street? Curious
Nissanland replied to mikestewart395's topic in General Forums
Nononono and NO. Not really a tire you want off dirt. Besides most states it would be a big ticket item. Those ag tires don't have a DOT marker that allows the use on highways. But I think they look good on the heep/jeep
