  1. I like the twin cooler idea. And gear options make sense, I still think we need more options for mounting a winch, heck we can't even get a front-end receiver hitch without it being a custom built. Might as well hv bumper built and have a receiver built in. Beings that the torsion bar suspension is identical to the Cadillac Eldorado kinda weirds me out, besides the fact the more you crank up the rougher the ride gets, a coil over may not give you any more height but I'm sure you would have a smoother ride, with a front axle drop bracket you could keep your geometry more in line with alignment needs. A side effect of getting more companies making parts from the tie rod to the engine and everything in between, would be pricing would have to go down for us spending the hard earned cash and then maybe we get more people building a pathfinder instead of the other guy's products..just in MY opinion. Lol
  2. The big question for us pathfinder owners. What are your aftermarket parts wish list. Been some conversation in another forum, about getting some good parts available for us to use to make the pathfinder builds using a larger selection of parts. I myself would like to have some kind of front bumper attachment kit so we could use bumpers that fit other vehicles without having to fabricate the brackets/braces. Another option would be a tube style with winch plate for light weight and options for lighting. A coil over or struts to replace the torsion bar setups while retaining the IFS would be interesting A new center console design that's a direct bolt in and has good cup holders for the front and back seats. A better choice for bolt in headlight replacement. More up to date technology. Same with tail lights. Lets just get some thoughts going and maybe we can get a couple new parts for our breed of trucks
  3. Kingman has the right idea of what im thinking about, not all of us have the time, resources or knowledge to install a sas, would be nice to have different options for the ifs. I have been fiddling around with the coil over idea, or something like a coil spring with some kind of multi link to keep the corners located but still have good articulation. Also we don't really need to have new bumpers designed for the pathfinder, just need to have mounting/conversion kits designed so we can use the current bumpers on the market.
  4. Added some led marker lights and replaced broken fog lights on pathfinder, then we Took the titan in for recall item's. Came home and worked on the pathfinders stereo system that I can't get sound out from.
  5. I think we could benefit from more suspension parts and upgrades, accessories for the engine, interior, exterior mods, and especially front bumper options with winch mounts. All these things could be good for the pathfinder owners and your business could benefit from the broader range of parts especially if they are of a high quality. What you have been doing has opened up a door for the aftermarket parts and accessories world to see what the Nissan's are capable of doing, not just the jeep,Toyotas or a big three products. We need to get noticed to get companies see that we're worthwhile creating parts for.
  6. I think we should get off road magazine to do a piece on a NPORA pathfinder trail rally. Maybe one on the winter rally done up in Elbe. The utube video of the run is awesome. Or maybe SteeevO could do a southern California run and get some good press and maybe more aftermarket support created for our brand of trucks just like SteeevO has been doing for the Nissan"s. What do you think........SteeevO has given us the best opportunity to get some real recognition for our brand of trucks.
  7. Rugged Rocks, SteeevO pathfinder has been picked by off-road magazine as one of the 4best 4x4 trucks posted in the magazine. This is the 2nd time in last 6months the Nissan pathfinder has been written about. Does all of us WD owners proud. Again congratulations SteeevO
  8. On my Rancho steering stabilizer I have a plate that uses two of the bolts/holes that line up with steering pump and a hole for the stabilizer. The other end has a plate that is mounted to center link with u-bolts and a hole for the other end of stabilizer. After I loosely mounted the u-bolts, I turned the wheels to the right side, and pulled the other end out of stabilizer and attached, the tighten the u-bolts up, then tested the full range of stabilizer. There was no need to remove the stock bracket on center link because the new Rancho stabilizer is bigger/longer than the the stock versions. In the test drive I have noticed a much more stable front end. It doesn't wander around even though the alignment still needs done after lifting truck.
  9. 4x4parts.com sells both the Rancho and belstine. They come with all the parts. You only have Minimal effort to install and really help with the steering enhancements. One of the best money I have installed, spent.
  10. You can apply paint stripper to the wheels and strip the clear coat off, repolish and spray new clear coat. There are a few video training on u tube that shows how to get the best results
  11. Replaced the sway bar bushings and rods, the old rods were almost warn completely through. Also installed the new Rancho steering stabilizer. All that's left is tie-rods, ttorsion bars and alignment. Getting close to road/trail worthy
  12. Finished the uca's, shocks, and ubj's..for front lift
  13. Could be a few things, first check the ground at both the stereo and to the frame from the battery is solid w/o build up between the mount. You can also check out if there is a noise suppressor in the power line going to stereo, those are known to go out..the last thing I can remember is resistor type spark plugs, if they are bad you can hear that as a whine also.
  14. Search keywords for it. You will find a few great write ups on them. I don't remember, but in garage section under how-to.
  15. The upper control arms came out fine, it was the upper ball joint that gave me problem. This truck hasn't had much changed since 95. I even found a sticker from the factory still on the driver's side shock, said manufacturing date of 07/12/94 made in Japan on it. So everything is very set, and very tough to remove. Just makes it that much more satisfying to get repaired.
  16. Soon as we can get back to driving again, heck might be a good thing were home. You see all that snow out east. No wrecks for us...
  17. Sounds like a possible dead/bad battery. Take it to parts store and have them load test it. Cold weather can kill batteries fast
  18. How to replace it. Mine are glued in place. There isn't a hole in which I could mount new one. Can I drill a hole with out hurting the lower control arm.??
  19. I have it on future list. I'm not that hard of a driver and don't take on to many risks. That said, I will not be trail riding either until I know it's safe on all fronts. Thx for information.
  20. any advice on replacing the lower bump stop that mounts to lower control arm, I found mine loose and the other one missing. replaced the upper with ultra low bump stop. thx
  21. Dog's top axle and echo, twin brother's and stryder on bottom, he is the first registered imo inu dog in the world. We have the certificate to prove it...very cool dog. Stitches care of the coyote I killed says stryder....
  22. Well I gave up. I pushed so hard with a wrench THAT I turned a wrench into the letter 'C' I was using as an extension bar for extra torque so I Just drilled out the broken bolts and GOT the darn thing back together, so now tomorrow it's the driver side, and replace the torsion bars. Since I have the new upper ball joints and all, I will just have the alignment shop remove/replace as needed. Only going to crank up enough to clear the new tires. Still have the mile marker hubs, and the steering stabilizer to install before I take it to get aligned. It did amaze me how good the ubj was when I added grease, the boot was tight and no leaks/or not torn.
  23. Well as you can see a bit of the headache I ran into. The press worked great. Now it's a matter of getting the nut off the ubj and replacing ubj, mount uca, steering stabilizer, and manual hubs.
