  1. If there is any interest, the best way is to send them to an e address I set up (so the process is blind) and then I post them in a slideshow format on my youtube channel. Then when all the submissions are in voting takes place at the same address. It worked out well, the slideshow was awesome with all the subs and everyone had a great time. I am glad we decided to do the submissions and the voting blind for many reasons......
  2. I am sure many truck of the month pics would do well but I am thinking many submissions with a poll for the 12 best. This last one I did had 70 subs and I had to cut it off there, they just kept coming in... Cafepress can make the calendars for a reasonable price, one or many. Discounts for bulk orders, of course. Can somebody fix my misspelling in the title? It bugs me......
  3. I just did this on the dual sport site I frequent. Everybody had fun and got some awesome pics for a calendar, plus a cool slideshow I made for everyone to pick from. If anyone is interested I will take point and get the ball rolling...
  4. Aww... it'll be the best 22 bucks you ever spent....lol
  5. If you put together a big rally in the Anza Borrego once a year I would drive down from NorCal !!!!
  6. If my LSD goes away that is exactly what I will do.....
  7. It's all good, just asking, since you didn't specify I wanted to be clear, plus there was another question about safe lubricant. Sounds like clutch pack issues then!
  8. While there are various types of mechanisms used to accomplish this miracle of redirected traction, most of them require friction modifiers unique to their own design to work correctly. An LSD without these special lubricants will at best not work correctly, and at worst fail outright - ending up costing a bundle to rebuild and repair. If your vehicle has an LSD, always be sure to use gear oil that contains the correct friction modifiers for that particular LSD. If you don't find a orange sticker on your pumpkin I would question whether it is an LSD or an open diff.
  9. It has friction modifiers in it or something like that. I know if you don't use oil specifically designed for a limited slip it can cause issues. Any of the stuff I have seen says it right on the container " for use in limited slip differentials"
  10. I know this may seem like a ridiculous question, but was it LSD rated gear oil?
  11. Replaced all the wiper blades and continued to troubleshoot the dang fog lights. Thought it was the relay but noooo! Ran ohm checks of all the wiring from the relay to the lamps and hooked them up directly to 12V and they are fine... gotta be the switch, right? Tomorrow will tell !
  12. 3-4 hours? That's just about right.... Come to Shasta county, we wheel all the time here. Winter is coming though so most of the mountains are off limits without chains and shovels. We have a big get together coming up on Jan 1st. We head for the snow and see who can get the "stuckest"....
  13. Welcome David! Yep, lots to learn here and guys that can help.... I thought of a body lift but after some advice on here I decided against it. Good luck with it though!
  14. Oops. missed that in his post..... I was at work on my phone and sometimes I'm not thinking too clearly. All you geniuses can't answer my questions, so go ahead and laugh!!
  15. I got high 20s regularly no matter how I drove. On road trips to Sac and the coast if I kept it under 65 and drafted with the trucks I got mid 30s. One tank I measured 38.6.
  16. Ouch! Nothing worse than electrical problems in my book, they can be so hard to trace. Like you, I know very little about the harness on the Pathfinder but with a schematic and some simple troubleshooting and a DMM you can find just about anything. From your description it sounds like an open of some sort to the ignition if turning the key yields no effect. I personally would start there, looking for power to the switch. Are you sure when you were up by the battery you didn't accidentally loosen a connector, main fuse or relay? Like I said, the specifics of the Pathfinder elude me but print the wiring diagram from the FSM, grab your meter and start chasing power.... Sending electrical "energy" your way. Good Luck!
  17. +1 Frame of mind may have a difference in one's answers....Which makes all "surveys" subjective rather than objective. They are still fun. I bet there is not one that would put me in Redding, CA though! Are you an asshole or passive... All we have to do is truthfully look within ourselves
  18. They may not be far off in my case. I am a west coast baby by any survey, grew up racing moto in my younger years, class 5 off road for my late 20's and unlimited sprints in my 30's. I am a racer at heart but never lived in the "racing" circle... as many of us, I feel given the chance and the money or name I would have been at home on the NASCAR circuit. Just a bit south, they gave me South Carolina. Shudda been Charlotte. But all of this is dependent on honesty in your answers within your own mind, isn't it? Kinda fun to play the game though....
  19. My low fuel light has never came on but I have taken it to the "E" and it only took a bit over 16 gallons so I, like you, assume there is quite a bit in reserve.
  20. Interesting video......I found myself concentrating on the other chassis's, or is that chassi? Ah, I miss the beach. I would like to see part II......
