  1. I've seen this story with a bronco before. Just save up for the springs and do it right the first time. Trust me
  2. Maybe just order the springs for the front and skip the spacer entirely. A lot people on here put on spacers to compensate for the lack of a front lift, not necessarily stack them on top of an already level setup (AC). I'm thinking a 1" spacer might be in tolerance but the 1.5 may be too much. That's more designed for no lift springs.
  3. That's potential for a whole lot of lift. I suggest an SFD. Especially if you're looking into 33s. You're looking at 3.5" of possible front lift, I suggest doing only the same in the rear if you feel you need it. 2" springs plus 1.5" spacers ought to do, but again that's at the upper end of the spectrum, and possibly worth just springing for the SFD.
  4. $4000. Someone's getting a lot of truck for the money too.
  5. ^Agreed. That's one of the stupidest things I've heard in a while, definitely make sure they check it out.
  6. Rigid Dually's have already paid for themselves- spotted a deer on the road last night, driving home on a mountain road at 3AM.

Deer cause lots of damage glad you missed it

That's my only reason for a big winch-style bumper: stop the deer from crippling my car

  7. I have a similar issue, interested in seeing what the fix is.
  8. I'd get it one piece at a time, and it wouldn't cost me a dime...

You can say I went to the factory and picked it up myself, cheaper that way

  9. Wood? Easy to work with, solid.... Cover it in carpet or a cla$$y varnish?
  10. Or you can always use ammo cans, that's a popular solution among Jeepers, and cutting/making it fit in the plastic console shouldn't be too hard.
  11. Just to have the (IIRC) correct info out there: the interior (dash, wheel, etc) of the pathy was redesigned along with the facelift in 1999.5. The center consoles are the same from 1999.5 to 2004. The only differences being on options like auto/manual, 4x2/4x4, heated seats etc. That said however, if you don't like it, I think a flat piece of aluminum would be a good place to start, and you could build it so it surrounds the shifter, and then "steps up" into a cupholder and then armrest. Kinda like this: http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Interior-Parts-Accessories/Subwoofer-Security-Console.aspx?t_c=9&t_s=411&t_pt=8379&t_pn=TFY066-03 You may be able to take some measurements and retrofit it in, or copy the design. Just some ideas
  12. I've used the aerosol duplicolor bed armor on my half rack and skidplates: not very durable or rough, but cheap-ish.
  13. Supposedly the air is cleaner, and they act as a ram-air so possibly a small increase in mileage from the extra air.
  14. Ah yes the great frozen North, king of chemical destruction hahaha Well I guess I should revise my statement: depending on where you live, it can be a vary easy job.
  15. I guess if you were converting from a powered one to a fixed mast? I have no idea. Either way, OP, judging from what you said, it should be easy-peasy: just screw off the old one, and screw the new one on.
  16. Jeez guys, all I did was unscrew the thing. Replaced with a "euro style" one and called it a day. Didn't have to break anything.
  17. Good to hear you were ok, out of curiousity, what are some of your initial impressions about the facelifted model vs. early?
  18. Yeah he's a fan. And that's a sad loss of 80s design, though I'd never drive it, my dad bought an audi 5000 brand new and the glovebox door handle came off in a month. It was steeply down hill from there.
  19. I believe a buddy of mine actually has a cabin up in your neck of the woods, and out of curiousity, what's that little white car?
  20. Same as above, though the truck doesn't matter so much as were you ok?
  21. Way cool, wish I could get into some of those myself. Despite being a 'jdm culture' area, actual shows are few and far between in SoCal...
  22. Sounds pretty average on my 02. Are your shifts between 1st and 2nd somewhat harsh too? Because that's well documented, but completely normal.
  23. SICK car! Wish they were in the States so badly. Just out of curiosity, what kind of shows would you have taken it to?
  24. Nice pictures, to be honest, can't say I like the new rims, but good to see it getting out there and being used! Neat scenery.
