  1. I have an engine that's built with a little more power than stock. Its better with more power, but it still feels like it needs a couple more gears, or at least better shift programming. I still love it to pieces, wheels nearly as good as my CJ, and a lot more comfortable.
  2. I use 235/75/r15s on my 1968 Jeep with 15x8 wheels. Even that is pushing it too far, you can see it. Airing down is questionable, really shouldn't be done on a wheel wider than 6, maybe 6.5 inches. Only reason I still use them is I'm still trying to decide what the next tires will be.
  3. I wouldn't crank torsions, seems to have an affect on the ride. Are torsion keys available?
  4. Motul 300V in the pathfinder.... Jeep gets pretty much whatever. I put so few miles on it a year that I just change it once a year. Typically Castrol synthetic.
  5. I love my Thorley Headers... No complaints
  6. As someone who has driven an auto pathy for years, off road, on road, up and down hills, I say manual. The automatic is just terrible at choosing gears. I often find myself bogging up hills until I disengage overdrive, and climb at 4,000 RPM. Unless its gonna be an in town vehicle, in that case I would say auto is find.
  7. Driving with my HIDs on coming down a mountain road last weekend (on a flat portion of the road), a large lifted truck was driving with their brights on. Being taller than me, I know my lights weren't an issue for them, so I flashed my brights. He turned a *#%!ing lightbar on and I nearly had to stop driving because I was seeing spots.
  8. Never tired LED. Running some HIDs with high/low beam. Seem to take a minute to "warm up". They start off purple and dim, and within 30-40 seconds are bright.
  9. Project Pathfinder blew both torsion bars on the trail yesterday.

Just completed the order Christmas Eve!!!

  10. Thats what I thought too. Now to just fix the lines....
  11. I don't know if it is since the PO installed it. I figured I would ask here since its the compressor that comes with the kit.
  12. I know this thread is practically ancient but I ran across it in a search. You are correct Kyle it is a derogatory word.
  13. Question for those running these. I tore an air line wheeling (ok, maybe prerunning ) and the compressor wouldn't stop running till I pulled the fuse. Thats normal right?
  14. The Nissan racing cams, 3.3 block, Infiniti Pistons, exhaust, new ecu really open it up.
  15. Holy crap!!!! You need to ground that thing NOW!
  16. What you probably need is a mirror mount like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RoadPro-CB-Antenna-Aluminum-Mirror-Mount-for-Freightliner-Mac-Trucks-NEW-RP535-/181230153387?pt=US_Radio_Comm_Antennas&hash=item2a3228aeab
  17. I wonder if you could mount/ have welded a bracket onto an exhaust clamp? Maybe not the prettiest, but just an idea I had while trying to find a solution for you.
  18. Oh my. I dont think there's any one upping that.
  19. Check all your fluids including diffs. Don't want water in there.
  20. It's easy enough to stick that on.
  21. You'll hate it if you don't regear. Your engine will be incredibly strained.
  22. IIRC they have some electrical gremlins. JP magazine just did a little article on them. Not a fan of the ZJ, but whatever works for you. Lots of people aren't fans of wheeling stock Early CJ5s and here I am.
  23. Properly set leaf springs can flex just as well as coils, but I agree with Kingman here. Why leaf spring the rear when coils are already there?
