  1. Project pathfinder is gonna get its filter located. Took my and the technician working on it (at my auto class) about an hour to get the filter off. The 3.0 filter location is bad, the 3.3 is even worse (less room!)
  2. The idea for this thread is to boil it way down. Not to list what everyone carries. Seems different to me?
  3. For a moment I thought (based on the title) that the problem was no rpms at 95 mph!
  4. When we bought it, they told us the #2 cams were still in the Nissan Motorsports inventory. That was a while ago, they may not carry them anymore.
  5. I thought they covered the part where they went to the VG33E block on their website? Because that's what it has now. Guess I can't help you then.
  6. Project Pathfinder was built by MotoIQ out here in SoCal. I dont know where the thread is here on NPORA, but here is their website. Its faster than a stock pathfinder, buts its no muscle car. As I said its mainly torque. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/902/Project-Pathfinder-Part-1.aspx
  7. VG 33, cams, pistons, intake, exhaust, a bit of boring. Mine's pretty torquey. Used to be that if the snow got up to my bumper I was stuck. Now I just lay on the pedal and tear through it. Of course my mpg goes down real quick.
  8. Try searching the forum on electric fan stuff. There are a lot fo great write ups, and with the right fan and a properly functioning cooling system you should have no problems. You should also read up on keeping the autotragic transmission happy, theres some reccomendations on trans coolers. I personally know forum member theexbrit is running an efan on his r50. His rig has stayed cool in places where mine nearly overheated with the bored out 3.3 and other goodies. If you can find them, I reccomend the Thourley headers (spelling?). I love them.
  9. Just interjecting for future reference I believe the DOT says replace tires after 7 years. I'd reccomend replacement if you can afford it and your current tires are cracked.
  10. When I did that to my last WD21 I found out it only had to drive to the yard and have seat belt for driver, seat, turn signals, windows, mirrors, etc. Ripped so much off of it.
  11. Sounds like a super tight fit. However, the HP is quite nice. Especially out of something that made 320~ from the start, versus built to make 300~. If it can fit, why not?
  12. I don't know if it would touch the ground, I was trying to tease more than anything else. Depends on the limits of the suspension. I do know that depending on the length of the current brake lines, they could be too short. They were never designed to be used with the sway bar removed. They may work but should be checked first.
  13. If you do disconnect the sway bar, check the flex before the trail. Wouldn't want to blow a brake line or damage something.
  14. Only thing I can add to swapping the 3.3 into a WD21 with headers is oil filter should be relocated. Oil changes are near impossible in my experience without it.
  15. Definitely check to see if the bars can be indexed back to the right height before hand. A good shop can do this quite easily. Especially if they have computerized alignment equipment. You could probably also do it yourself. Only reason I replaced mine is because they broke from unusual circumstances.
  16. Sway away makes good bars. Based on my research, looks like they make/made the NISMO bars.
  17. I checked there for the LSD additive. I might have missed it, but it doesn't seem to mention even using LSD additive, just compatible oil.
  18. 300 HP pushing mine and still think that a manual would be better... just my 2 cents.
  19. Hmm.... FSM doesn't say. Unless Im reading it wrong it says to just use LSD compatible fluid... I'm hoping someone else has a concrete answer.
  20. Ahhh, ok. Because I have a factory hitch, plus a seven pole connector and a trailer brake controller (all added by PO). My last pathfinder had nothing and I put a hitch on it for my bike rack.
  21. Well, the auto has to turn the torque converter, plus as stated earlier the computer doesn't always choose the best gear. I believe it.
  22. What does the tow package consist of? None of mine have ever come with it. Both have had everything swapped in.
