  1. I used to take lifted YJs (3-4 inch lift, 33's, locked and unlocked axles) to school in my pathfinder all the time. I've had people come up to me on the trail and say their brother or friend, or whoever, had one and it was pretty capable stock. They were always impressed where I'd drag it too. Good times.
  2. No need to apologize. It's not a sensitive topic, that rig was just done. I join forums to learn, share, joke around and have fun. I'm still having fun! No offense taken!
  3. I fought tooth and nail to save it till the trans exploded and the head cracked! There's another coming later this year... It's all good! I had my pathy in my family since '92, I didn't get the Jeep until two years ago. Just been frustrated by a lot of the newer Jeep guys ever since I started wheelin about 7 years ago.
  4. Put it in low and push them forward! Welcome from Sunny So-Cal.
  5. I bought a 10 dollar hand pump. Jeep used to love its gear oil before I fixed the leak. Sure paid for itself. However, I really like this idea, creative!
  6. Make sure you join up on some Jeep forums, lots of info out there.
  7. If you ever go wheelin' in a real dusty area, you begin to feel like it's killing you.
  8. There is such a thing in terms of too big to fit between the grill and rad. Other than that, should really be an issue AFAIK. As far as mounting, it may have "in" and "out" marked. Orientation doesn't matter I think.
  9. I guess it helps that I started in Pathies too! Good luck on that Jeep! I hope to see the progress on it!
  10. You need to find some old time Jeepers. Those are the real Jeeps. Don't bother talking to those new rigs...
  11. Whoops! Typo! Very nice! I've never tried to JB weld it. I've always preferred to just buy new regulators. But if you do JB weld it, I'd love to know how well it works! Auto or manual?
  12. That rig looks nicer than my last one! and for only 800?
  13. Essentially two transfer cases attached to each other for a lower crawl ratio.
  14. Wow, that should be cool! I wanna see this.
  15. Had my pathfinder's cat stolen once. That's plenty meaty IMO.
  16. Cut a hole in the hood. No restrictions there.
  17. The shims go on each side of the hitch to take up the gap. I pulled my hitch of a '94 WD21. When I pulled it off, the hitch had been installed with quite a few shims on each side. I replaced them with heavier gauge metal, but I see no reason why you couldn't just use spacers.
