  1. I had 31X10.50s on my pathy, stock height. Just a little trimming with a dremel on the fender flares and I was good to go. The question is, how big do you want to go? I was giving Jeeps with 4-6 inch lift and 33s a run for their money on black diamond trails. All about what you want to do.
  2. I really hoped this thread would focus on headers when I read the title....
  3. Never knew how important dash mounted volt meter could be until my CJs speedometer cluster burnt out with my alternator at the same time. Maybe if these pods are still around in a few years I can get for another pathy...
  4. Just making sure you know. Curious to see pics tomorrow.
  5. Whatever you do don't clean the bayonet, and I recommend the same for this item. There is a very strong chance you could devalue this. And I almost guarantee you will devalue the bayonet. Send me some pics and I'll ID it for you.
  6. Moved some of the parts in to the garage... I sure miss it.
  7. Reminds me of a "swagger stick". Guys in the military back in the day would often make them, or have them made out of casings or other materials.
  8. Just saying, they are out there.... Now if you want those skids, why not fab them, the t case especially is very basic.
  9. Well you can.... https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/front-skid-plate-p-4186.html https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/rear-differential-skid-plate-p-1904.html
  10. When the budget allows it, there will be a Nissan in the fleet again...
  11. No need to apologize, I had this talk about the poorly thought rules today. The body was extremely straight, other than the hood, which was a bit bent up from a fender bender (picture is deceiving.), dented front bumper and squished fender. Needed all new interior as well. But even then, I've literally been around that car all my life, today was kinda hard. In the end though, it is just an object. I will have a WD21 again, but I do not know how long it will be. I guess I'll still stick around this forum, but I might not post much anymore, after all, I only own a Jeep now, and it seems to kinda be a "four letter word" around these parts...
  12. I know! It really, really hurt. The rear frame area and rear floor was nearly rotting out, but as you can see, everything else was really nice (aside from trans, rad, and powersteering.) The way the program is written, if it doesn't pass smog, they have to crush it, so that the "bad parts" don't get recirculated. I told the woman I really wished I had known, there was so many other things I could have saved, the wheels for one.
  13. Some of you may remember my thread last year, where I announced I was selling my Pathfinder. (http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33994-end-of-the-line-for-my-92-path/) I filled out the paperwork and the bowl rolling. It was accepted and I took it in today after removing some parts. It didn't go quietly, on the way, the leaky radiator gave out and the car overheated pretty good. I let it cool for an hour, refilled the radiator, and limped it to the yard. As I handed over the keys, I asked them when it was going out on the lot, so I could let you guys know about a nice pathy in the yard. She told me it was being crushed today. My heart sank. I could have taken more parts, I could have traded out the lego wheels for something else and passed them on..... The last time I ever saw it. They wrote CRUSH on the windshield.
  14. I agree there, our f250 had the trans flushed at 50k miles.
  15. Then yes, you need the weight, good luck man.
  16. The ATF fluid should be changed regardless. The only reason my pathy went so long without it, was another member of the family who owned it before me did nothing to maintain it. A friend of mine put 350k on his truck's automatic (not nissan) without a rebuild. He attributed it to transmission flushes at every oil change, and flushes before towing his 26 foot toyhauler about 3 or so hours out to the desert, over cajon pass.
  17. In my opinion, it's based on how you drive. My dad drove it like a hot rod and changed it every 10k miles. When he passed it onto me, I changed the oil and it smelled burnt, and looked putrid. Started changed ever 6k, that worked pretty well.
  18. Mine went about 100k without any changes. Started slipping real bad, lost 1st and reverse. Changed it, replaced the little filter, everything was back to normal. About 70-80k miles later everything started to repeat with some crunchy grindy noises. It had so many other issues that we just scrapped the car.
  19. That is a sweet rig, you should be proud of it!
  20. I think you will notice a considerable improvement. I never even had a sunroof deflector, didn't need one, and I had thule crossbars on the stock rack.
