  1. What he said. I have had my pathfinder for almost 7 years and have changed my belts atleast 4 times within that span (everything but the ps belt. I think I've done that once) but this last time i was fed up of paying OEM belt money. I bought some gator back belts, and all new tensioner and pulley. She purrs now. But I did the big change at 155k and the A/C pulley bearing definitely wasn't healthy. I think I paid around $60 for an OEM pulley and an aftermarket tensioner. Worth it in my opinion. I'd say if you keep getting belt issues, maybe it's time for some new tensioner and pulley. -Kyle
  2. Head back to the junkyard and get the block off plate from the car you got the harnness from. It should have the correct plate. Grab the gasket too! Glad to see your making progress on this. Post up if you have questions. There are more than a few geniuses on here who are willing to help. -Kyle
  3. Seriously? I'm quite flattered. Thanks -Kyle
  4. Please don't double post... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/41683-rb25-swap/?do=findComment&comment=774272 -Kyle

  6. Nooooooo, please tell me your keep pathy!!!!
  7. I would get that if I uploaded too many pictures in one post. Might be relavent but figured at least mention it. -Kyle
  8. Camber bolts in place of the strut to knuckle bolts is commonly how people alleviate the problem. -Kyle
  9. That's just from doing oil changes. The filter is in a REALLY dumb place. Excited to see more pics! Keep them coming man! -Kyle
  10. Swing away looking good! Awesome shots, may need to ask for more wallpaper pics, lol -Kyle
  11. Haha, I see. Sorry if my post came across a bit too condescending. Was more poking fun than anything. It's just such a popular platform that I just figured everyone had heard of it. Lol This most likely means you don't spend as much time on YouTube as I tend to do. Which is a good thing! -Kyle
  12. I don't mean to sound like an internet D-bag here, but how in the world have you not heard of the GM LS series engines??? https://youtu.be/KxUIMpbEE7o?t=17m26s Last one is my favourite -Kyle (EDITED TO PLEASE CANADIAN, i put a U in it)
  13. Huh, I just looked it up, it is just a stroked 35. Learn something new everyday. Now I'm REALLY CURIOUS. Dam you hawairish. Lol -Kyle
  14. Really? I've heard the oppositie. I think I was watching some video of a guy who supercharged his R51 and they were saying the 40 is different to the 35. Dangit now I'm curious. I wonder if the bellhousing is the same, would make the transmission matting process WAY easier. -Kyle
  15. Rob is a parts manager at nissan of McKinney in Texas. Those are prices he offers at said dealer. when ever I order parts it's through him. He hasn't been active for a while but you can still call the dealer and get these prices. -Kyle
  16. Dangit hawairish, why do you gotta continue being awesome? I'm almost ready to commit to a bromance for all the awesome things you keep doing. (I'll reply to your pm soon, keep getting distracted) -Kyle
  17. Since you mention the dash not illuminating, and alarm it sounds like interior electrical gremlins. Have you had any work done I'm recent time? That might give you a place to start and see if you can find anything out of place or the tech might have bumped/ not secured properly. And any water leaks or anything (accident, fire, flooding, etc) recently like within the last year? If you can think of anything it will aid in locating the problem. -Kyle
  18. What he said. Pump out old fuel, check and probably want to change the oil, check the coolant (eventually, not super crucial to make it start but I cant imagine it's in the best shape after so long). Check major electrical connections for corrosion, cleaning as needed. Past that, you would just be diagnosing as needed in the event it doesn't fire. If it ran when parked, I don't see why it wouldnt fire, (all dependant upon how it was stored). -Kyle
  19. I don't know how I missed these reply's. But I'm glad X posted Tyler's old thread. Yeah it is kinda say how it ended but he proved the VH45 would work and there are more than a few guys running that engine in their 240sx's and go drifting. Plus there are few people who make long tube headers that some how clear the engine bay of 240SX. And the engine bay of the 240 is tiny compared to the room we get in the pathy's, the only issue (as always) is the dumb steering shaft. It's totally doable. -Kyle
  20. If one is going to go through all the effort of sourcing an engine, making an adapter plate, making engine mounts, wiring, custom cooling, etc, etc. You might as well just get the V8. You could source an LQ4 or LQ9 for probably around the same cost of the VQ40. Just my thoughts, some people swap certain engines because they just happened to have one lying around... Lol. -Kyle
  21. Alright well, my experience yields this recommendation. DON'T GET PLASTIC! they will melt and last maybe 2-3 months before they are completely useless. -Kyle
  22. They make headers, but for RHD variants so they most likely won't fit. Just stick with some Dorman OE replacements. -Kyle
  23. I take it your having a wheel shake problem? If so, check your steering gear for any play. I had a shaky steering wheel even with the spacers. It wasnt until I replaced the wheel bearings, and all of the steering tie rods that it pretty much went away. -Kyle
  24. Damn Daniel. Back at it again with the awesome shots!
  25. What did you do to check spark and fuel? Because if those are working and there isn't a blockage in the intake. Your car should run. -Kyle
