I could be giving a forgotten pathy a new life. I'll be following your thread to see if I encounter and similar issues. The one I'm considering has been sat on a driveway for ~3 years.

Hey guys. I'm new and considering doin up a blokes R50 vg33 pathy. It's been sat for near 3 years unused and not started. I've been speaking to a few of my friends and with some mechanical knowledge we think it could be worth a shot. What id like to know from you guys, is what to expect from this car, and this engine considering its sat still for quite some time. What would you do if you were in my shoes staring at this car?
