  1. Full warning, im totally doing that to my grill, looks super good on the black late models. -Kyle
  2. I bought an 03, in the process of making it up to my standards.
  3. Sounds even better in person! If i was keeping my 3.3 it would be the next mod on my list. -Kyle
  4. Such a good time man, cant wait to get together again, today was the boost of motivation i needed to get my 03' done! Awesome pics too man! -Kyle
  5. I don't think they changed the rear door until the face-lift (if they did at all, despite having a 96 and on 03 side by side i still cant tell), What seems to be the exact reason you see the mount not working? -Kyle
  6. Try messaging the guy who swapped in a 350Z motor into his car. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/40354-where-do-you-get-your-cam-shaft-sensors/ He claims to have done it. And thats not installed is it at $499? I seriously doubt it. -Kyle
  7. This is the most cryptic &^%*ing thing i have ever read, but after about a dozen times of reading this stupid thing, i think the determination was the VCT Cam gear was bad. https://www.justanswer.com/nissan/8m6qp-pathfinder-2003-nissan-pathfinder-showing-code-p0021.html Im gonna try and few more things, oil flush, and things of that nature, if that's not it, im taking to a trusted mechanic friend and i think he's just gonna change the Cam gear for me. Valvetrain stuff scares the hell out of me. Ill keep you guys updated. -Kyle
  8. Best feeling in the world is finding the problem after chasing it for so long. Congrats! -Kyle
  9. AH thats a huge bummer, i loved rob! he was such an asset to the forum. Hope hes doing well, really miss that guy. -Kyle
  10. id imagine those are pretty rare up north... I see one about once a day out in Bellevue/Kirkland area. Nice to see one stock though. -Kyle
  11. So i was talking with a friend of mine and he suggested that maybe the VCT solenoids are getting weak? Can any confirm that is a possibility before i drop $200 on new VCT Solenoids... Many thanks -Kyle
  12. Thats bad ass man, NICE WORK!!! -Kyle
  13. There is a hose that is directly above the water pump that feeds into the actual thermostat housing. Its part of the lower radiator hose assembly i guess you'd call it. There is the hose that come out from the block via the thermostat, then a solid piece of zinc plated tubing and then the long hose that runs from there to the bottom of the radiator. I would start there looking around there if you haven't already done so. Beyond that there is a small hose that if memory serves me right, feeds off the top of the thermostat housing and goes into the lower intake manifold as part of the heated manifold assembly. Its buried deep in the engine and is behind a lot A/C lines, timing belts and covers. While i have never personally heard of it failing, it is rubber and susceptible to dry rot like anything else rubber. Hope that helps. -Kyle
  14. Yeah, i tried that and while it worked for a little while longer than before i had cleaned it, the second i got up to speed on the freeway (70 MPH) it went into limp mode. no stored codes, just pending, an 02 Sensor and both Cam shaft sensor codes. What should i do next? -Kyle
  15. I seem to be having the same problem with my new to me, 2003. Im gonna try and do what you recommend tomorrow and hopefully that works. You mentioned earlier buying a code reader as opposed to a scanner, what is the benefit of that? Im gonna flush the oil with seafoam, new filter, blow out the valve covers, and VVT solenoids, any other suggestions while im in there? Thanks -Kyle
  16. go under the car, sit yourself in front of the drivers side wheel, look toward the lower drivers side of the pump (behind the pulley) you'll find an obscure and very hard to reach tension bolt. If you have ratcheting wrenches, (10 mm if memory serves me right) i suggest using them as the tensioner is a bitch. Also be careful taking off the harmonic balancer, i've broken about 2 harmonic balancer puller bolts trying to take that stupid thing off, went and rented the biggest 3 jaw puller o'reilly's had and that did the trick.
  17. Half doors previously discussed. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/37622-dustins-2001-pantyfinder-college-budget/page-6 door-less (kinda) http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/35974-anyone-done-a-starter-replacement-on-vq/?p=721203 i wanna say he did ended up going full doorless but i cant remember where i saw that picture. -Kyle
  18. While you are correct, for daily driving the tire swing just isn't practical in my opinion, however, I didn't remove it I replaced it. My stock one wobbled in the on the joint so I got a new junkyard one and repainted it. I just have my old one lying around and is still in job shape and would work well on a trail rig. -kyle
  19. Yeah not something most people can do. It might be a while before i do mine, wanna get the new rig mechanically sound and make a trip or two to Spokane, then start doing mods i don't already have parts for. So glad i'm not the only one who sees it, i think its the soft curves giving it a "bloated" effect (for lack of a better term). Progress, i couldn't help myself, i started installing the JDM headlights. Drivers side needs a cut and buff, with a new shot of clear, then im going to have them clear bra'd to give the utmost protection. There is almost no room for these stupid things, It became very clear that they were never designed to work the 3.5L, which makes sense and the 3.5 was never sold in Japan (i think). So i just spent way too much damn money on a K&N intake that i will probably have to hack up just to make the drivers side fit. The main loom is right where the headlight wants to be, so with some massaging, the loom will be pushed back and then the light should clear all of the crap behind it. I painted the cut edges to prevent corrosion, and added some silicon vacuum line around so i will stop slicing my hands up, i look like i got into a bar fight with a gang of cheese graders and lost... Thats pretty much what i have been up to, while i wait for the intake, im going to get the headlights fixed up and start wiring up these things. -Kyle
  20. God dammit for that money i would have bought yours and driven it home!!! Where were you a week ago? -Kyle
  21. will some one please come get the spare carrier that i have out of my garage. Its only missing the latch (Fairly useless i know) but im going to scrap it if no one wants it. -Kyle
  22. Yeah, id be down, but we would have to agree on the same print in order to get any sort of discount. and im really picky, just as an FYI. There is a guy up in gig harbor who does dipping. http://www.tsunamihydrographiccoatings.com/ Looks like his specialty is guns, but he does list automotive parts. one i fix the broken rear cup holder door on mine, ill be giving him a call. -Kyle
  23. Hey thanks guys, Power folding mirrors, one of my favorite mods i have done so far. Check out this post in my build thread on the subject. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33320-college-kids-dd-1996-se/?p=749073 as far as how to get a hold of JDM stuff, check out this other post in my build thread. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33320-college-kids-dd-1996-se/?p=748032 Im too lazy to rewrite it all out, lol Let me know if you have any other questions on um. Plastic fake wood will be replaced, or redone i guess one would say, i think im gonna hydro dip those panels and try and replicate something from Mercedes. Similar to this HAWAIRISH whats up man?! Good to hear from you as well! Yeah I've been MIA for a while, hopefully my new pathy will revitalize my presence back to the forums. Z updates are limited, but i picked the Z up today as well, drove way too much to honest. I just got fed up with trying to put the E30 Sports in myself, just dont have the skills.... But they are mounted and are exactly what i envisioned it being, it almost looks period correct! I don't have any pics yet, but next priority is getting her all back and running, buying a dash, new gauges, finishing up the dynamat, and the rear cargo area in Teak wood. -Kyle
