  1. Going from a fixed or motorized antenna to a stubby isn't going to improve and reception issues. Get an aftermarket radio with HD radio. -Kyle
  2. Once installed you will have come to a stop, get out, turn the hubs into "4X4" and then you will regain you on the fly four wheel drive. -Kyle
  3. Those are total rip off, I just bought a set of updated model projectors for the price of one of those. Yahoo Auctions for the win! PM Kyle, I'll put you in touch with a guy who will import some JDM projectors. -Kyle

  5. I see a quest alternator in your future! -Kyle
  6. Army Navy, it's those fancy blue and red fittings all the drag racers use. Tons of aftermarket companies make their own version of it, and make every sort of adapter you could think of... -Kyle
  7. I can't vouch for the tri-stars, but my original pre face life SE wheels have a 6" backspacing. Stupid, i know... -Kyle
  8. Nice, i know we were struggling to find those earlier in the year. BUT...i'd rather go AN, its the same price, even with the discount... -Kyle
  9. How is this ANY different than the pinned wheel and tire thread topic in the pinned section?? -Kyle
  10. Or you can post them and contribute to the forum and actually help more than one person... Just a thought -Kyle
  11. I'm converting to SS AN line, I'm ordering an extra inch, just in case. Where you having the lines done or getting them from? -Kyle
  12. Man, having a blank there should would have been helpful when installing my stereo... But i'd take manual trans over easy firewall hole any-day!! lol -Kyle
  13. oops, i forgot to put that key detail in, haha As far as front to back it sounds like the front, im about 80% sure, cant really pin point which side, it sounds and feels very centralized. and yes it knocks over bumps and when i accelerate. Not speed dependent. and its very hard, like a metal punching metal sound. -Kyle
  14. Diff bushings look brand new The only thing left is ball joints and tie rods, i did the wheel shake test, got a little bit of play at 12 and 6 on the passenger side, and i got less, but still some doing the 9 and 3, is that just steering play or do i need to replace some steering components. I figured my wheel play at 12 and 6 can be attributed to two things, my bearings are shot which i believe they are, have a noise, and i think i went through a set of pads in about 2 years, (should last longer no?) or its this ball joint, which only shows slight wear if at all... Its good on the front but not so much over here
  15. Well, its been a while since i started looking for this dang suspension knock that i have complained about before, and it went away (yes, it actually went away) But about a week ago it came back worse than ever, so i looked at about every bushing i could find, and i took pics, i can not find much of anything, but ill let the pictures do most of the talking We'll start in the back... So here is my drivers, axle side, trailing arm bushing. Passenger side, axle side trailing arm, probably the worst of them all, but still would function to me.. BTW, Karmann, i fixed my exhaust (you can see it), it now just shoots right out the back and no longer at the cabin... Drivers, body side, trailing arm bushing, looks almost new... Passengers, axle side, upper trailing arm, all four looked as good, if not better than this one... Sway bar end links, again look great!! Same with the bushing I also took a video, should the play be that much back there? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NRuNfO7Vsg Alright, so about a day latter having not really been satisfied with my findings, i decided to poke around in the front... Sway bar bushing, that's good. I have new end links, steering rack bushings, struts (KYB), Strut mounts (OEM) and strut bearings (OEM).
  16. i was wondering when this section was going to be added.... -Kyle
  17. I use full synthetic Mobil 1 Red grease, its expensive, but i use that stuff on everything. I can get you more info if you want?? -Kyle
  18. ah okay, if it was the cup holders, i was just going to suggest popping over to a junkyard and getting some single cup holders out an 88-94 nissan maxima and instaliing it in lower pocket under the radio, assuming you have a single din radio of course. They look like this They just pop out, pretty clever and i believe a universal single din fitment. But that would sick to see if an xterra center would work, report back if you make it work. -Kyle -Kyle
  19. Well, they did change it, The earlier gen have it much worse than the later models Here is a 97 (which should reflect all R50's that came with 3.3's, someone correct me if im wrong) And the updated version out of an 03, notice the smaller center console storage and taller cup holders Is your biggest complaint the cup holder design? I think i may have solution for you if that is your issue. -Kyle
  20. So i take it you just got a little excited and forgot to check tracking? lol -Kyle
  21. I can tell you from reading around the forums for a few years, that the split bushings are MUCH easier to install than the one piece, i've heard of guys breaking multi ton presses trying to get those solid bushings into the arms. As far as performance, someone else is going to have to chime in. In my experience of installing bushings, i've have always destroyed the outer sleeve, given that's because i was installing OEM M3 bushings in my buddies E30, and it came with a new sleeve. If the bolts are in good shape, i.e free of rust, threads are still usable, and generally just looks good, i'd say keep it, OEM bolts are usually a good product, and generally dont need replacing, especially if you don't go off road. What i'd do in your case is get the split bushings without the upgraded bolts, and if 4X4parts says to still use the outer sleeve on the split, do what they say, they are the only parts group who make poly bushings for R50's, there's a fairly high chance they designed it. -Kyle
  22. hmmm i could have sworn they changed that in 02, oh well. Here is what i'm talking about this is out of an 03 They moved the cup holders forward making for better access. see if you can track down an 03 or 04 center console and that solves some problems for you. -Kyle
