How do we know what gearing we have in our rigs? Is it stamped somewhere on the rear end? -Kyle

i'd be curious of that, i would like to one day, re install my adjustable suspension setup and see how well (if at all) it works. -Kyle

Agreed, but on the older model R50's i think that swap involves swapping the entire HVAC system. Love to try it one day. -Kyle

Nope, No gears in out pathfinders, the R50's went electronic. But they do make kits that allow you to correct the difference when installing new tires. MADDDD -Kyle

Wouldn't surprise me. A lot of manufactures use outside companies to manufacture specialized productions like shocks and electrical components. I think there was a thread not too long ago trying to get everyone to post what company made what part in an effort to find parts that were the same OEM quality without the OEM prices. -Kyle

What year do you have? I'm on mobile so I can't see your tag. If you have a digital dash, and the x one is electronically controlled then it could probably work. But if you have an early Gen with manual controls (as in cables for the vent control) the X will need to be the same. But I have a buddy with an X and I remember them being crazy big for the hvac, but post up if you figure it out. -Kyle

I personally like Courtesy's parts diagrams, they show more detail, but they use their own, internal parts numbering system, rendering it useless to me. What i do is go to this site; http://www.nissanpartsdiscounts.com/index.php?p=home Go to this site (Rob's dealer page) https://www.factorynissanparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?SiteID=214081 Confirm that I've got the part number correct for the part im after. And then call up Rob after I built up a decent list (next order is looking huge), the advantage is, the first site uses the same part numbers (for the most part) as Rob, so that way i don't waste Rob's time. Because, we all know he's busy, fixing GTR's and what not...Lol But that's just me.... -Kyle

I was referring to pathfinder specific, Nissan apparently added them mid production. One of the perks of having the late model. But! I still get (or at one point had) push button adjustable suspension, lol -Kyle

I'm jealous, because a few years after mine, Nissan thought it be a good idea to add a cabin filter. I have no such luxury. Still cool you were able to get to it reasonably, on my Z you have to drop the whole box out to get at all of the blower screws... -Kyle

I shipped Andy his swing away from Seattle Washington to middle of California, weighed 86lbs and had the most unusual box ever, was under $40, given I shipped to a business address and shipped it directly from a FedEx distribution center. But Kyle, find a distribution center of any carrier that isn't USPS and see if they can take packages for you. They usually can. Or have a business take delivery of it. It cuts costs exponentially! If summit racing can ship my heavy steel rims for free from Michigan then we can figure out a cost effective way to shipp some light, aluminum wheels! Lol -Kyle

There is a massive plug that runs into the pillar of the car that has all of the wiring that runs to the door. It makes assembly of the car easier, it rests just behind the rubber boot, so its not hard to get to. just a little tedious. -Kyle

Well, im relayed up and adjustment motors WORK!!! i hooked up one of the JDM lights to the adjustment setup, worked exactly as it was supposed to, im so happy! mainly because it worked first try and i didn't have to undo my beautiful looming, but i also managed to figure it all out, i have never under taken anything like that before. But switch is wired and illuminated... And my color coding will save me a few headaches down the road, but i left alot of this stuff un-loomed because i wanted to be sure everything would work, and because the JDM projectors obviously have a dual bulb design where as the USDM spec lights come with a bi-filament so i tried to keep some slack to accommodate the different position of the new bulbs, but i fear that i may not have left enough, but whatever, i still have a ton of the wire left and i can attribute this to a learning experience and do it correctly when the sheet metal starts coming in, which now that my new work situation has come in to place, i can finally start searching out panels to get this conversion done! And the AWFUL rats nest i made for myself when i start putting the new lights in, which WILL be loom and full held out of the way, and pretty. -Kyle

If you guys seeing anything i should be aware of, please let me know Got my adjustment harness plumbed in, found a very convenient grommet next to the hood release on the firewall, ran it over the drivers feet and into the center console were i put my adjustment switch. And the loomed power and ground for the motors.. I was sort of bummed after i finished this, because i closed the hood and realized it didn't look any bit different than when i started hours earlier, but that's what i wanted. -Kyle

How the heck did is shear off? Pics are a must on this one. But head the services section. Go to the genuine parts thread. Rob runs that thread and provides deals on OEM Nissan parts, he can get what you need. And if the fan didn't break, there is a savings for you. UPDATE TIME!! Following the advice of kingman and others, i redid the insulation with heat shrink, does this look better? AND I MADE MY LEVELING HARNESS!!! So proud of this thing, need to clean up the plug area, but its super nice, all nylon sleeving is the way to go! -Kyle

If all you need is an engine, why not just get an engine? Parting out cars is not really a wise idea when you consider time and what the car is, sure you'll be helping out the community, but pathfinders have no special parts that someone across the country needs that he couldn't pick up at his local wrecking yard. The guys who part out STI's, EVO's and classic cult cars like S30 Z' and E30 BMW's, they have a little bit better of situation because production varied from one year to year and model to model, and above all, you cant just BUY parts for those classic or performance edition cars anymore, at least for a "reasonable" price. If i were in your shoes, i'd just go to your local wrecking yard, find a clean, somewhat low miles VG33e and throw that sucker in there, it will be cheap-ish too, because you don't need wiring, ecu or transmission. Hahaha you're just being the good news guy in this thread, haha. But I have to agree with Kingman, you probably fried your motor. But, if you want to see if your lucky, just throw a cheap timing belt and set the timing, check compression, won't you have to lose is your time and whatever the belt cost. -Kyle Ps post pics of the swap when you do, lol
