Man, another wd stolen in Washington! Maybe I should look into an alarm for my rig... Thanks for the post Kingman. -Kyle

Okay, finished reading your post and actually searched those part numbers, and i'm really curious to see if your radio is the same as what i pictured, because i cannot find ANYTHING that show Nissan equipped the 04 with sirius. Look on your driver door jam, look for its birthday, should show month then year, somewhere near the top. i'm curious if Nissan started selling the feature right at the end of the Pathy life or something like that. Sorta what they did on my pathy with the adjustable suspension option.... Looking forward to hearing back!! -Kyle

Are you sure its a Factory equipped thing? Because from the pictures of the radio i have seen, the FSM i looked in, and from looking at the 04 sales brochure i have, i see nothing that would indicate a satellite radio.... Here is a shot of the 04 platinum factory radio for reference. (same for 4X4) I did, however find this: http://store.xmfanstore.com/complete-sirius-install-kit-for-nissan-infiniti.html But its not compatible with the R50's, so i'm guessing you might have some like it. Could you post pics of the radio you have installed (if its different than whats pictured above), and maybe some of the units/ wiring you're working with... -Kyle

What did you do to your Pathfinder today?

Installed my MOMO Elgrand optional steering wheel!!! -Kyle -
Unless you turned into Hulk and managed to control yourself enough to focus on tightening the strut nut, rather than smashing everything, i'd say your fine. I just got done replacing the struts on my dad's MY02 Acura TL Type-S, and i just went with the German torque spec for the strut tops, "Guttentite". Took it for a test drive, rode fine, no obvious bind in the steering, or strain on the system. -Kyle

Biggest tire for bone stock 04 SE?
ferrariowner123 replied to PrecisionX's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Hold on there Rebel, I'd agree with you that "most" 31's will clear on stock height. But do mention, some run into strut clearance and need spacers or new wheels. Also from my experience with my duratrac's had some rubbing issues. I had to cut holes in the inner fenders, and they eventually ripped the front mud flaps off, so generally 31's fit, but there are a few tires that love to be a little annoying. lol Just making sure the airways are clear on this beaten to death subject. -Kyle -
2003 se performance and suspension upgrades?
ferrariowner123 replied to Dhale24's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I believe I have found some nismo shocks and Springs that will fit. That's about as good as good as it gets in my opinion, as far as bang for buck, yeah it's not that, not that at all. Lol -Kyle -
Question for the manual trans guys
ferrariowner123 replied to 01Pathmaker's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
On my 3.3,i bought it with 100k, and at probably about 140, I really starter to notice the clutch dying. So assuming it was never changed, I've gone 145 on an original clutch. -Kyle -

'01 Stuck Air Flow Control Knob
ferrariowner123 replied to tkpath2's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Awesome glad you got it figured out. Post a pic of the screw, see if we can figure that out. And as far as the name, no don't have a Ferrari, probably never will, don't really like them (except the Daytona). But when I was about 12-13, I made it as a joke and trolled a couple people with it on RCuniverse forums. But I used for a few more forums, and I've just never got rid of it. I've been recognized on other forums as a result, so for that reason, I kept it. -Kyle EDIT. But they do make a Ferrari kit for the Z. Lol -
'01 Stuck Air Flow Control Knob
ferrariowner123 replied to tkpath2's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Huh, weird, I was under the impression that all 01's were free of the early Gen, ZENKI stuff, but I guess not. Anyway, pull the radio bezel off, on the early dashboards there are two screws at the bottom of the bezel, and then the rest is held in with pop clasps, I have found it best to grab right between the front vents on the top of the bezel and give a nice smooth jerk and the whole thing should pop off. Disconnect the wires for the misc switches, and then start pulling the radio, it's just four screws. Once that's out of the way, look toward the bottom left of the opening where the radio was. You're looking for a small, yellow, tan ish arm (move the vent select to help find it easier) and look for any obstruction in the arms range of motion. That's generally what caused my issues. Again, that's how to do it for the early model dashboard. The one with two symmetrical vents in the radio bezel, if you have a triangular shape for the vents (maybe with a clock on the middle) then you have the newer style dash and I don't know to take that one apart, if it's different. Hope that helps -Kyle -

ferrariowner123 replied to tkpath2's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I've had something similar happen when I do work behind the stereo. Trying to move the air divert valve to move it from feet to panel vent for example,it would bind and get difficult to move. On the 96's it has a manual flap system controlled from the knob, and much of the wiring I run goes right next to the pivot arm for the valve box thingy, so it would hang up some times. But I'm fairly certain all 01's and up went to a full electronic system for the HVAC. So that sorta rules that out.. But I seriously doubt they dropped anything down the vents big enough to cause any issues. What type of model do you have, I'm on mobile so I can see it from your profile. -Kyle -
Can anyone tell me what this is? (picture attached)

Why do they ground the exhaust again? For static? -Kyle -
Don't make two threads asking the same question in two different parts of the forum. The little amount of time you waited between making this thread and making the other thread due could have been spent researching the recall, where you would have found out its for the strut tower. Not the coil. Don't clutter the forum because you can't wait for an answer. This topic has been throughly covered in all pathfinder forums, so a quick Google search could have got your awnser. -Kyle
-
The recall is for rust on the strut tower. So unless your coil failed due to an inane amount or rust. I'd say you have nothing to worry about. -Kyle

The WD21 won't work as Andy said above. But there was a guy who, just recently installed an r50 swing away to a none swing away pathy. It's fairly easy according to him... -Kyle -
When did you do that???? Looks REALLY clean! nice work as always. CNAM, How did you mount your light bar? Care to send any pics? and AK whats your question??? -Kyle
-
Huh, maybe they changed they on later years because mine was definetly soldered in... Werid. Anyway, thanks for the help.. -Kyle
-
Nice. I'll be sure to get one of those. How did you install it? I originally DE soldered the factory bulb and put my led in there. And if your referring to the lense that allows light to pass into the ashtray, then that's a negative, because I have to bust that out to get my aux cord to go through. And maybe it's a Canadian thing, because my 96 does not illuminate, and while I have taken one of the defroster switches apart, and found a bulb covered, it does not illuminate, I'm thinking due to lack of wiring. I need to see if the harness is different for chillkoot editions.... Hmmmm -Kyle
-
Despite everything in there, it looks nice and tidy, i like tidy installs!! Nice work. But i have a question. What Red LED did you use for the Ashtray(assuming the SB-LED)? I have one in my pathy, and its nowhere near as bright as that. And even though all my ashtray does is hide my aux cord, i'd still like to get some more light in there somehow... Thanks in advance. -Kyle WAIT JUST ONE NEW YORK MINUTE!!!! Is your defroster switch illuminated?????
