  2. The battery? you can just drain whatever power is left manually, when its unhooked push the brakes and the horn and that should do the trick.
  3. Clean the throttle body again and the IACV, It's happened to me before where I clean the IACV on a different vehicle and the problem actually gets worse and it idles much higher so try cleaning both and see how you go. Have you tried letting the ecu reset?
  4. $300 is pretty decent for a r50 if you ask me. If I were you I would get the r50, swap the engine and drive it till you can fix the wd21 then either sell one or keep both.

  7. I have a FSM for the 89 d21/wd21 which covers the tbi unit and how to adjust the tps, it's about 155mb and I can't remember where I got it from but if you want I can upload the two pages which show how to adjust the tps.

  9. 1. Never done it myself but if this isn't your daily it might be worth a shot, there's plenty of info online as well as the fsm that covers rebuild. 2. It would appear that a d22 qd32 box might fit. 3. Depends how confident you are, time, money etc. Maybe just upgrade to a bigger box and be done with it. I was going to say auto hubs not working properly but after reading again you said the diff is getting drive but not to the cv axle. First thing I would suggest is check the diff and gearbox fluid levels and go from there, but it pretty much sounds like your diff is stuffed.
  10. Also don't use regular body filler, that's just for smaller stuff and may even come out after a couple of offroading trips.

  14. Replacing the screws on the fuel regulator to bolts or phillips hex head bolts would be a good idea too. Do you think you would be able to take a couple of shots of the back of the engine and maybe places you can't get too/see properly when its in the vehicle and then posting it here, I'm sure these will help other members for explanatory purposes and such, But thanks for the video it really gives you a good idea of what the back of the vg30e engine looks like if members need to relate to it for future purposes.

  16. Probably not when you see them on a daily basis, but down here you always go for a second look when you see an american vehicle, even if it's stock.

If you could upload a couple of shots of path in the forest you plan on taking it would help allot in the decision on what vehicle you plan on getting i.e What you might think is a hard trail might not be that hard at all and in that case maybe a r50 could be suitable for your needs, after all the r50 is a much better off-road machine than the outlander.
