  1. I agree with precise 1 Buy a trailer. You get to keep a comfortable four person vehicle that will have no problem pulling small trailer.
  2. Try swapping springs. I have been fighting same problem and I have 4 link , so the panhard bar is not going to change any thing . I believe the problem is the jeep springs and the pigtail that will not let spring sit flat on upper perch the way stock spring's do. When I reinstalled my Cal-Mini springs back in, it sit's level . That is my theory . I ended up putting jeep spring's back in since they are 8" lift coils and ignoring lean since I tried everything else. Good luck.
  3. Always have the same problem. WHICH ONE! Nice job guy's they all look good no matter who win's it.
  4. Thanks. I figure I will keep looking for the next couple day's till my new clutch get's here. Then I will have to make a decision on making my own worst case .
  5. No I do not want a monster truck. 37" is as big as I would like to go anything bigger and I think I will start breaking axle parts. I have found that we continue to hit harder trails with bigger rocks and the 37" makes them a little easier.
  6. I have done it. It is not to hard. You will want to make a jig to hold front axle.Trust me on this. I was in a hurry and did not take enough time to set up caster angles properly and it is alot of work to fix it. You have to cut the front part of the axle housing off.(where the 3 rd member would fit in). I used a 8" x1/4 pipe cap. Yes a 8" pipe cap. Then you will need to cut axle tube toward knuckle with large pipe cutter. Do not cut all the way through pipe.I then used a large bar to turn knuckle's 180 degree's. This is where your caster angle will get screwed up if you do not take your time. If your caster angle is not right . THE TRUCK WILL NOT! Drive down the road very well. Once your pipe cap is installed you will need to drill out one top and one bottom hole in the 3rd member larger. After that the 3rd member will slide right in. I went with trail gear high steer arms and there tie rod, drag link set up. They use a fj 80 tie rod end. I found that you can use the FJ 80 tie rod end in the nissan steering arm , but it has to be put in upside down(from top). It has worked well for me I have not had any problems. FYI Sky manufacture makes the shortest steering arms . You do not need to use Cal Mini SAS kit.You can use one for toyota.I can tell you more about that if your interested. I will dig out pic's if you would like to see it. I can probably post Sunday or Monday. I am not sure if you can see it very well on you tube. Hope that help's www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM-MeBodpq0
  7. HI everyone. I have about 7- 8" of suspension lift. Check out video on you tube . It's listed as nissan pathfinder 4 link. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM-MeBodpq0 It has SteveO's 4 link. He has double cardan on his pathy,he is also using an atlas. His 4 link would not normally need a SYE,but most people would not go as high as mine. The four link work's GREAT. My limit on suspension right now is the driveline. I moved my axle back more than an inch from stock and with lift it starts to bind. In full droop it will get very close to falling out. I know I could lengthen the D.L. but that won't stop binding. There are also different joints I could add.The problem I have is I try to carry a spare D.L.just in case I am in the middle of no where when I twist one on rocks. I am experimenting with suspension. I am hoping to fit 37" tires without cutting my fenders. This is my work in progress and I am looking for the limit's with different set up's. Thanks everyone.
  8. Tap the brake and it should engage. The factory LSD is not that great. It will never work like a locker.
  9. Does anyone know where I can get a slip yoke eliminator? Cal Mini no longer carries them. I talked to Tom Woods driveline,he said he could probably make me one but it's going to be expensive.I thought about taking the slip yoke and cutting it in half, then welding a 1310 yoke on it.Then drilling hole in shaft to tread bolt into it to hold yoke in. Not to sure if I could get it perfect, which would cause bad vibration.Crude I know. Any thought's or suggestions would be appreciated. Waiting for new center force clutch to come in,so have a few day's to figure it out. Thank's
  10. I got my 3.8 to 1 transfer case gears. yay
  11. I live at 6200' and drive over a 9500' pass often. It is pretty gut less at high alt. It's funny when you get to sea level, and it feels like a sport's car.
  12. The problem with pictures is they just can't show how much fun you are having . Nice shots guys.
  13. Nothing here in South Lake Tahoe. It was 7 degrees yesterday morning. Not good for a town that's economy relies on snow .
  14. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a good and safe one. My family just got back from England for 2 weeks. So extremely jet lagged . Being Santa is easy this year.
  15. I'm glad you see the light. My family is in Wales now,the weather is horrible always bad.

  17. Welcome. What is pom? Jealous! Someday I hope to get to Australia. My brother in law is moving to Perth next month.
  18. Extended my wheel base by 1" to try too fit 37" tires. Nice to have adjustable 4 link.
  19. You could pick up a dana 44 wagoneer axle from J.W. auto wreckers in Sacramento. They only do jeeps and are pretty reasonable.(916)723-3950 I would not bother with dana 30 you would be wasting your money.Dana 60 is to big unless you are only going to be using it on trails. Good Luck on what ever you choose. This is for mauitrailguy
  20. The patrol front axle is passenger drop.I believe the transfer case in your double cab is driver's side output.I might be wrong on this but you should check. I only know this because I was going to have my brother in law ship me a patrol axle from England and found it would not work. This is for austin316
  21. Thanks for info. I have one now, my buddy still had my old one from my 4runner.Pretty good since I rolled it 4 years ago. It looks identical to nissan's. I imagine it was made by same company. I like the install above the radio. It looks very clean. Thank's nunya yes I remembered after I wrote the post it was an altimeter not a compass.
