  1. He covered most of it. I know you have a Hardbody, but you should download the FSM. All mechanicals short of the leaf springs vs coil springs are going to be covered, and it should have most of this stuff in the Maintenece section. To do a bit more for the radiator flush/fill, I've used something like this. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/PST0/AFKIT.oap?ck=Search_antifreeze+flush+kit%21s%21test_-1_3230&keyword=antifreeze+flush+kit%21s%21test Some people hate them, but I've always had good success. As for places to get rid of all this, where I live its a pain. Most local parts stores etc take oil, but antifreeze, brake fluid and gear oil I have to take to my local dump, they have a special place for that. So dont just mix it all together and take it in, your local oil recycler may not take it all.
  2. That tab is basically a safety feature, so you dont hit the hood release in the car and your hood flies up. Check this thread for a picture of the hood latch, the cable from your cab runs to this, and the initial hood release from in the car pops this open. I'll send a better pic later, its raining here right now. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17796&st=0&p=291060&hl=+hood%20+latch&fromsearch=1entry291060
  3. First, check the cable in the cab. Is it loose/broke there? If so, just grab it with some vice grips and yank it that way. If its broke at the latch itself in the front, the best you can do is try to get something in there to unlatch it through the grille.
  4. See? I told you he had skills, I just didnt think he was that damn fast as well.
  5. Sounds like something to check as well. Its raining here and its my DD, but I'm hoping this weekend I'll be around empty and I can maybe drop the tank down and get a better look.
  6. Most Nissan motors are pretty bulletproof as long as you do proper maintenance. Its normally the rest of the vehicle that fails before the motor.
  7. I've had more R50's in my local Pick n Pull than 4 door WD21's in the last couple months. Its made me a sad panda, since I'm not ready to start a VG33 build yet.
  8. Hardbodies started 3rd brake lights in 94, and they are different from the 95 3rd brake light. The 94 is a bigger plastic housing that attaches on the top of the roof. The 95 brake light is just a lens, much cleaner looking. Basically, the 94 looks like a last minute oh crap new law throw it on there kinda piece. The 95 brake light was much more simple.
  9. Wow. What happend to that poor thing?
  10. Yea mine was basically a caked on layer of dirt. I'll check the filler lines and vent lines when its not raining, maybe I'll even drop my tank down when I'm almost on empty.
  11. I ordered my Energy Suspension bushings through Summit, mainly because I live so close to a shipping warehouse so stuff gets here quick.
  12. Well I'm not entirely sure the fuel pump always looks "moist" around it. There was a lot of crud built up, and I'm not entirely positive it was that way because 17 years of dirt found there way up there, or the gasket/oring is leaking so the dirt stuck. I found a gasket at Autozone, even though the girl behind the counter assured me they didnt carry it. Man I hate Autozone.
  13. So in the Summer I would smell gas here and there if I left my Pathy in the garage, but today I was unloading something out of the back and got a pretty big smell. Now I did get gas today, but still figured it was time to check it out. I popped the fuel pump panel in the hatch and this is the cleaned up version of what I found. Is this pretty much my issue? Also, what the heck is that connector for in the other pic? No wires are even near that area. And last question, my local parts doesnt have it in stock, but there are 3 different options. There is a fuel pump gasket, a fuel tank lock ring, and a fuel pump tank seal. WTF? They all look like gaskets in the picture, so which one do I need? Thanks for any help.
  14. Nice! What did that set you back? I got dibs on your old rims/tires.
  15. I had the dash out of my 94 Hardbody more than a couple times. Tungsten has most of it covered if I remember right. The biggest pain was the getting the defrost vents out without snapping the clips. Just take your time, there really isnt anything bad about it.
  16. If he was checking the air filter, he could of just as easily been the MAF. In fact, from what everyone on here has issues with, it was most likely the MAF. Mine just happend to be the TPS.
  17. A 06 Ford F-250 Van. White. With no back windows. If someone painted "Free Candy" on the side I'd probably get pulled over. Its my work vehicle.
  18. I'm with Nunya and Sewebster. Sounds like they are screwing you, even though its just hood insulation.
  19. I've never heard of an issue with a rebuilt injector, I mean basically you are "rebuilding" your old ones to a certain extent just getting them cleaned to begin with. If downtime is an issue, I say go rebuilt.
  20. I've done neither on my Path, but does that $38 include a warranty? Depending on which warranty from which place lasts longer, I'd go that route. Plus, if you go rebuilt, you dont have any down time waiting to get them back if its your daily driver.
  21. Man, service so quick I didnt even have to look it up. Someone wanna come check it for me too? Thanks guys!
  22. I'm trying to decide if the V-6 Hardbodies ever had the insulation to begin with. I cant recall seeing one in the junkyard that had it, so if they dont need it you are good to go!
  23. Yea, I'm getting no code other than the knock sensor. So I'm starting to believe it is actually the sensor itself at this point. Thanks B.
  24. No worries, thanks. Yea my local store has em for 150, 132 I would of been easy to pick them up, I still like them so I think I'll grab a set within the next month. Thanks.
