  1. Take out your fill plugs first, it would suck to drain the fluid and then not be able to fill it back up. Remember to overfill the tranny. Either jack it up so you can put more in through the fill plug, or do the shifter fill method. Its in the how to section I think. If you plan on using a 1/2 drive breaker bar and it starts to strip the plug, and you have a Harbor Freight nearby, buy this.... Drain Plug Set Use a 20% off coupon you can get in damn near any magazine, and the 13MM square drive will be your new best friend.
  2. I'm like you, I have some weird love of OEM floor mats.
  3. The 3000's. I kept reading the 9000's were very very firm, so I went with the 3000. I think the 9000's were 20-30 more for a set? Anything is better than the 17-18 year old OEM's they are replacing at this point. Did your shocks have the metal sleeves that go inside the shock bushings?
  4. I was kind of thinking that myself. Pro Comp was no help when I called. They fit so snug I'm just gonna throw em on and check every now and then.
  5. So I figured I'd throw my rear shocks on tonight and do the fronts this weekend. Upon opening the box, it had 3 different metal sleeves to go in the bushing, none of which come close to fitting the bolt. The other box had no sleeves at all. Obviously these shocks probably fit a ton of different vehicles, but my question is do I need that sleeve? My old stock electronic adjustables had no sleeve I could steal, and the bushing fits pretty snug. Am I asking for the bushings to wear out if I don't use a sleeve?
  6. Opened my box of shocks that came UPS and threw in the hatch area until I install them. Probably this weekend.
  7. I just bought 8 feet of the smaller vacuum line, that covered it with about a foot or more left over, and I was a little extra generous when cutting. Dont forget to replace the tiny length at the back on the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator.
  8. I'm going to guess there are less than 5-10 people on this board that know what that means. I use to have a bagged 94, were you ever on the nissanminis.com board?
  9. That sounds like most ball joint jobs...... I replaced a bunch of vacuum hose, and did the shifter fill method to put some more Redline MT90 in. That was about twice as hard as I thought it would be to do.
  10. Finally bought new shocks to replace the 17-18 year old electronic ones. I hate waiting for things to ship, I feel like I'm checking the order status every 1/2 hour.
  11. This might be a dumb question, but is the steering wheel tight?
  12. For some reason I thought this was going to be a video of Tim Allen when he did that show Home Improvement.
  13. This is where I'd start. My wheel is starting to make a bit of noise I've just been too lazy to do anything about it yet.
  14. Maybe try to rent a welder for a few days? Post an ad on Craigslist? I would try that first, then go redneck.
  15. I had a 2WD 87 I picked up from a tow yard when I was 18. For some strange reason, the distributor was a complete 180 degrees from where it should of been. The PO or whoever did it had rigged a washer to hold the distributor like that. I put the distributor back how it should of been but it would never run right until I got a new distributor.
  16. I should of known by your proximity to the Bay Area you owned a bug, you hippie!
  17. Wow, I had to a double take. I saw a Pathy with those KC's earlier, but it had the earlier style bumper. I'll keep a lookout up here, but I'm a long way from San Diego so hopefully its recovered before then.
  18. Even the 96+ Pathys have rust issues, just not as bad as the WD21's. Before you worry about the body, have you checked your frame? Give it a whack with a hammer above your rear axle, and pray it sounds solid. If your frame is good, and you can weld (or know of someone who can) there are few threads around here with people patching in panels.
  19. Laugh all you want, I had the 5 dollar one for a year and it worked for simple things like this. Then it fell off my shelf and I broke the display.
  20. I never realized mine would look like that if I took the flares off and left the flaps, so you are up 10 points on me.
  21. You can get a cheap, decent one at Sears. I think I paid less than 20 bucks for mine. Hell, the 5 dollar one at Harbor Frieght will probably work for ya.
  22. Yea I posted one not long ago as well. The ones that are restorable seem to be as much as FJ40 Cruisers, and there are a billion parts for those. I want to find a barn stored Patrol for like 500 bucks. Yea, I dream a lot.
  23. My friend has a 93, his mudflaps look like the 92 back ones. I thought it was a 94-95 thing.
  24. They are either aftermarket, or Puerto Rico has some different factory ones.
  25. Haha, that reminds me of my buddy. He bought a Pathy in the Bay Area from a "hippie" as he described him. He used to scour freebie stuff off craigslist. The guy actually built his own rack for the top, and used to haul a variety of odd stuff, including a Hide-a-Bed. I dont even like carrying one of those a foot off the ground, let alone putting it on top of a Pathfinder. I'm guessing with the stuff you hauled and the rack he made, you could move an entire house.
