  1. I gazed at the gas tank, and I'm starting to think I have a fuel leak somewhere. Bad news-leaky gas tank, explosions, and money. Good news-maybe I get better gas mileage than I thought!
  2. Welcome. My parents live in Colorado, in Creede. Pretty much the middle of nowhere. But my stepdad is currently working in Denver, and he is in the aircraft industry as well. I'll have to figure out the name of the place he works for, he contracts out for different jobs.
  3. My Pick N Pull wants 40 bucks per hub! Seems kinda spendy when I see you guys paying 10-30 bucks a set. No 28 splines have rolled in yet so I havent tested myself to see if I will spend it yet.
  4. I'm with you. Lets raid the shop and split everything.
  5. I completely agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but "I think it looks stupid" is something that doesnt need to be posted. If you dont agree with what the OP did, state what you dont like/agree with, and move on.
  6. You wonder why people give you negative feedback.
  7. I thought grey was the rare color. Here in my neck of the woods it was. The blue interior I could tolerate, but that red is not my cup of tea. I knew I was safe buying black because they are always grey, at least so far in my experience.
  8. I think your right that they are oxidized, but I was unsure on painting them with it still there. I might just give it a shot like you suggest and hope for the best.
  9. I've only used the super cheesy ones (normally they screw in, no drill needed) with limited success. I am looking for a good brand, kind of looking for a little set for a few different sizes even. Hopefully nothing super expensive. Sears had a few different sets, anybody use those with any success? I'm eventually preparing for exhaust studs, and my skid pan has about 3 out of 5 bolts that need removed.
  10. I think part of my reason for painting them was I'm not sure if they can be cleaned. Plus, I'm not completely sold on painting them black because my Pathy is black. And I was gonna go along the lines of scuffing them up, I didnt want to full on sand them, lol.
  11. What are my best options for cleaning these wheels? I've used a couple different "rim cleaners" and put some elbow grease into it, and they still look like this. I plan on painting them black so I am sure I could put a little sanding wheel on my dremel and sand it off, but I'd prefer to get something that just cleans. Thanks for any tips.
  12. Yea, you wouldnt last 10 minutes driving around where I live.
  13. A guy I work with just put some of those on his Tacoma. Not the same size, but he seems to like them so far. He has been off road a couple times, but just dirt, its too warm here for any snow or anything. Those are fine stock, they are one of the two stock sizes (depending on the option your Pathy came with) the other being 31x10.50x15.
  14. Looks like a pretty basic alarm install, but if you are unfamiliar with wiring, I'd recommend you have someone else install it.
  15. If I am in the junkyard and auto Pathy has no body damage, I assume the tranny is why its in there. Your best bet is finding one that still runs that has body damage that they can prove the tranny still works before you buy. Either way, they have such a high failure rate anything but a rebuild is taking a chance.
  16. Actually I think its 90-93, and then 94-95. My buddies 93 has a "two piece" where mine is more of a one piece.
  17. Beautiful! Did you ever drive down to the Datsun meet at Mt Shasta when it was still going?
  18. Body lines, and the D on the badge. I've loved Datsuns not available in the states for years, another prime example.
  19. What year Hardbody did the tube bumper come off?
  20. I was all set to read and look at pictures. And then I saw the corner of the yellow Bluebird. Any more pics of it?
  21. You might be the closest member to me yet. I am in Redding, couple hours south. Any plans for the Legos you took off? I need an extra for my spare tire.
  22. Finally got around to greasing the Energy Suspension sway bar bushings I installed a couple months ago. The noise was finally too much. Also fixed a small leak appearing to come from my front diff drain plug, and filled it back full of gear oil. And broke off a skid pan bolt, so now I'm down to 4.
  23. Are you looking for a manufacturer, or a place to buy, or both? I know of at least Rancho, Moog, Monroe, and Old Man Emu off the top of my head make them. I would see if a local place could source one of those to save on shipping, or we could start finding places stateside in the US that will ship to you.
  24. Wow. Glad you werent driving it and it turned into a rolling fireball or something.
