  1. Here is another link to a 3" body lift mod. They have a solution to the stupid body lift bumper bracket mounts. as well. so you can ditch them. http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showfla...part=3&vc=1 2 weeks. WTF Mine got to me in 3 days. Drop shipped from arb in washington. Mark
  2. Here is mine. Although it will be changing, I am installing an ARB Bumper I will probably have to buy another winch to fit the ARB. Mark
  3. My infinity speakers came with the wiring adapters(supplied by crutchfield). I ordered from crutchfield they were free with the purchase of the speakers. Go to www.crutchfield.com and search for part number 12071003 I think they are 12.99 a pair USD. They have a really good photo of the adapter you should be able to tell from the photo if it is the correct one. Mark
  4. Here you go http://www.arb.com.au/NISSAN/Nissan-Pathfinder.jpg Mark
  5. I just ordered a Arb bumper for my 91 pathfinder. Just thought I would share with the deal I got. $665.99 with free shipping Mark
  6. I fixed mine as well. After removing the upper intake and all else involved. I replaced all of my injectors. I found that number 3 injector had fuel on top under the injector screws. That must have been my leaker. I then put it all back together and then it would not start. I then double and triple checked all the connectors and vacuum lines, everything was good. then I thought did I put those fuel line back on correctly. Nope Had then backwards. switched the fuels back correctly, she fired right up. However my low idle miss was still there. Crap!! well I then did the power balance check and found that the number 5 spark plug made no difference when unplugged. I then removed the spark plug in number 5 and then did a compression test. it was 130 so no problems there. I then took a close look at the spark plug and the gap was all messed up. It was too close. I remember last year when I replaced them that one of the spark plugs fell out of my socket when I was installing it and may have hit and messed up my gap. After re gapping the spark plug in number 5 she now purrs like a kitten. It is not so bad, as she did need at least 1 injector replaced. Mark
  7. Ghostpath, I actually received mine on friday. I installed them on friday evening. I did not have time to adjust them yet. I am still not really happy with the light spread. I have HID Conversion bulbs on all my cars and all of the beam patters are perfect on those. (97 honda accord, 01 hyundai santa fe, 03 kia spectra. I will try and get pictures of beam patterns off mine tonight. I was thinking. The glass lenses on the stock housings obviously separate from the housing and the new ones separate as well. I was thinking of using the stock housings with the clear plastic lenses. The new housings have the reflector on the back of the housing and uses a front deflector to deflect the light back to the housing instead of using the glass to deflect. This is much better but looks nothing like the beam patterns of my other cars. My search for the perfect beam pattern my be futile. I have not hot spots on any of the beam patterns on my other cars. I also thought of removing the front reflector off the new housings but not sure what that would acomplish. Mark
  8. as always tuning with an SWR meter and cutting the antenna wire to adjust the readings on the meter help out tremendously. I have not tuned mine as of yet. Mark
  9. I Forgot that you Canada guys need all the rust protection you can get. Sorry I am from California. My pumpkin still has Paint on it. I was washing and waxing it the other day. Mark
  10. Yea Thats what were here for, To confuse the competent and straighten out the incompetent. or something like that, Great now I am confused. I am out of here Mark
  11. SWEET! I will be getting mine monday, I can't wait. The HID pattern with the stock housings are terrible. I will update with beam patterns once I get mine installed. Great write up, Now I know what to expect. I ordered mine from ebay member progrill, for $130 out the door, they shipped the next day. Mark
  12. I think he was thinking that the 4wheel drive shifter was a separate system. and neutral meant that just the 4 wheel drive was in neutral. I can see how someone not familiar with automobile mechanicals would think that. What comes natural for all of us can be daunting for others. Especially if they have never worked on a car before. Mark
  13. I do believe there are 3 different cv halfshafts for pathys. They are broken down by the following years. 87-89 90-95 96-05 Go to rockauto.com they have Brand new ones for $69-$79 each depending on the year. They also know which one it right for your year. Mark
  14. It kills me when 99% of all trucks and suvs on the road have the leaking pumpkin syndrome. It is probably caused by monkey lubes checking the levels and either not resealing the Fill/inspection port, or when they check it the fluid dribbles out all over the back of the pumpkin and they don't bother to clean it properly. You guys have seen them the dirty oil spots running down the pumpkin. EVERYONE WASH your Pumpkins!! Mark
  15. I got really lucky when mine went out. I found a brand spanking new transmission (still had the nissan tags on it) and transfer case for $700. Then tac on 500.00 for shipping. total $1300. I bought a factory clutch kit off ebay for $120 bucks. I hear you on the transmission jack. so much easier. Mark
  16. Most probably a bad or leaking fuel injector, I have the same problem. I ordered some rebuilt injectors for $130. Once I get them and install them I will let you know if it was my problem. I, Like you replaced everything and it still was missing. Mark
  17. Keep in mind guys, most new 4x4 (the yuppie ones) have push button 4wheel drive. It can be quite intimidating for someone to try and drive our dinosour 4X4's. Sometimes the easiest things can dumbfound the smartest people. I think we should keep our judgments off the forums. Mark
  18. mine is doing the same thing. I have not got around to looking at it yet. Let me know how this turns out for you. Mark
  19. For wrenches and sockets I would go craftsman, especially if you have a Kmart, Sears Or osh near. It is way convenient when a tool breaks to just take it back and swap it with a new one no questions asked. with other hand tools I generally will give a cheap tool a try, especially if it is under 1/3rd the price of the craftsman. Reason, If it breaks I am not out that much I learn my lesson about that tool then buy a craftsman. I did this with my snap ring pliers. bought a cheap harbor freight for 4 bucks, they broke. I then bought the craftsman for 29 bucks, still working to this day. I have saved just about as much as I have spent replacing them. I still have quite a few cheap tools still working great. My rule of thumb if you use it frequently or are going to rely on it for emergency do not skimp. BTW new craftsman ratchets are getting cheaper and cheaper in quality, I still have some old craftsman ratchets that are going strong while I have had to swap my new craftsman ratchet 4 times already. Just my 2 cents. The thing I don't like about Husky (home depot) they do not have a lot of stock of individual tools to swap unlike sears that always has individual tools available. I went to swap my ratchet that came in a set, they did not have the exact ratchet, so I swapped it only to find that it was so different in shape that it would not fit in my case. the price for husky generally is about the same as craftsman. 20. I believe so. It would just be easier to check your voltage with the truck running. If you are getting 14 volts then your fusible link would have to be good since the voltage would be getting to the batter from the alternator. If not then your fusible link could be bad. It is a PITA but then you could chack the voltage on the back of the alternator with the engine running and if you have voltage then for sure your link is bad. mark
  21. Check the fusible link from the alternator to the battery or check to see how many volts at the battery when the engine is running. If the fusible like is bad then you will get the same symptom as a bad alternator and until it is fixed all the alternators in the world won't help. mark
  22. I though about welding it, But decided to clamp it since i don't know what future problems with removing the headers could occur. The pipes when inserted on mine did not go in very far. that is why I considered welding it. The clamp has been holding fine There is not really any place for the pipes to go anyways. I would not recommend using these clamps on a muffler. I Tried that I ending up chasing my muffler down a hill when wheeling. Good thing My muffler was made of super strong stainless steel. Mark
  23. I am not sure about Nissan Automatic transmission but too much ATF in some transmissions can cause foaming. This would introduce air in the valve and could cause problems like eratic shifting and oil starvation. too much fluid could also force fluid past seals in some transmissions mark
