  1. Very nice, love those nissans. Man you both have nice Pathy's. Can't wait till I get my lift, hopefully getting my UCA's soon, then it is off to wheels and tires. Still gonna install the lift with my 235's though, can't wait even though it will look funny till I get the new shoes.
  2. not to mention being scary as hell when you have a 1000 foot drop off of a highway with a piece of crap retainer between you and the cliff and you hit a dang bump. Definately first thing I do when I buy a new vehicle, regardless of age or conditon. I know it is a slight waste of money, but what can I say, I would rather be safe then sorry. I should check out my strut rod bushings, my wheel use to shake every time I hit a bump, until I installed a steering damper. Maybe that is the cause in the first place, now I barely feel it though.
  3. I second that, cuz mine is a 94 with EFI not TBI, and it does it from time to time, and it isn't the fuel filter, I have replaced that lots of times, it doesn't help. Only thing I have found that makes it quit for a while is using 87 gas or BG 44K every three months for 3 or 4 oil changes. Then I don't get it at all. Maybe mine is an oil burnoff problem, I got 220k on it. I got it with 160k and it has done it since I got it. It seems to get better in warm weather though. Haven't checked out my injectors though, probably why 44k helps.
  4. well, why would you use an inflatable tent in the winter anyways. Nice for the 3 seasons, but who really, truly camps alot in winter. Even then just get a military spec sleep system for like 300 bones from your P/A. That is what my brother did with his TentCot and he can go 30 below. If you have that sleep system with your pathy I bet 40 below would work, and where in the US is it that Temp? But yea, sweet tent, you see another one for 30 bucks, you let me know, I will buy three and sell the others to people on here for the same price, maybe even less cuz I would feel guilty...LOL!
  5. PM Sent. Great cause for a great guy who created an even greater site. LONG LIVE ALL PATHY'S EVERYWHERE!
  6. Sorry I do my own work, and if I have Tranny problems I take it to a buddy of mine, so no help here.
  7. mine does that every once in a while too. Does yours smoke some rich @$$ smoke when it happens also? Mine does that, but it hasn't done it now for quite some time.
  8. Welcome fellow coloradoan. Hope you have as much fun on this site as I have!
  9. Just cuz it is new, doesn't mean it is right. Look up to see what the resistance is supposed to be to test it. Should say in the chiltons if I remember correctly. Test it first though, no sense in buyin the part before testing it. Other than that, plug that vacuum line, see if that works. but I bet it goes to the breather tube.
  10. Welcome fellow Coloradoan. You should expect anything from 60 to 90 an hour around here. I haven't found anyone that is below 60, even I charge that when I work on people's vehicles. If I had my own garage, I would say bring it by, we could do it for a case of beer. But I don't, yet, so that is out of the question. Check around, some of the little gas station shops have good mechanics who would be more than willing to do it. There are a couple down here in Aurora that do good work, like the 4 wheel shop off Havana by Iliff. But down in your neck of the woods, I have no idea. Sounds like when I get my rig lifted and new tires, we need to go hit the trails...I only have 235's on it now. If you know of any good deals on tires let me know. I might also be going for rims. Other than that, look around the site man, tons of info. I have learned alot. Good to have ya!
  11. Also, don't know if your's has a MAF, if so, check to see if it is slightly obstructed. Also, TPS, IAT, and sometimes it could even be something as simple as an unplugged sensor. Check all those, and like B said, check for codes, real easy to do.
  12. There are two screws under the hazards and dimmer toggle. Take those out, and if I remember correctly it will just snap out. There should be like two or three metal clips. Other than that, should be cake.
  13. Welcome, bout time I see some new ones from Colorado, I see Pathy's all the time and still they don't join. Welcome man. Hope it all comes together nicely
  14. Just SAS it...LOL sorry just thought I would be an @$$
  15. Congrats man, gotta say, it was close between you and GG. Both of you have nice trucks though, either one would do us proud.
  16. X2, they are Street Utility Vehicles, not Sport Utility Vehicles...LOL
  17. Well, since there are wires near the area, they were probably put in for those reasons, but as long as you have things tucked away and secured, no, I cannot truly think of a huge negative impact. Higher engine bay temps? Other than that, you got me.
  18. probably, but just tell them the kit you got didn't come with it, they were shipping it, and you will come back when it is all finished...wink...wink....lol....that usually works with most mods on cars, or just tell them you want the front done, period. You are paying for goods, they won't turn you down, and if they do, go to midas...lol!
  19. Welcome, Bienvenido, me alegro de que estes aqui. Either way you slice it, good to have ya!
  20. And my final one for the night, thought this was a little too much
  21. OK saw this and thought it was a little funny
  22. Welcome, and hope you utilize the search option...it has helped me out tremendously. Lots of stuff to read here, so hope you don't mind staring at a computer screen...LOL.
  23. X2 on the bumpers, skid plates, and even the tire carrier idea wasn't bad. All that you have there I cannot afford/don't need due to the fact I am not a hardcore off-roader. Looks great for those guys though...your stuff always looks good though. I wish I had more disposable income to do some of the things you sell, but I don't so for now I am looking for the little stuff, like new bumpers. UCA's would be cool, but there are a few options out there, and it would be hard to compete with RC on those. Other than that, all looks great, but I myself cannot afford!
  24. So that means you don't have clutch cancel...ok, I would start tracing wires, grounds, and even check out your switch. Just cuz it is new/newer, doesn't mean it was made of the highest quality...i.e. even quality control standards have room for human error. I would also check your starter. Mine does that too, auto though, except I get a click at the starter, and I know it isn't that, I just have a bad ground or connection somewhere. I took the starter out and played with it with a power probe and I couldn't get it to do it again, unless I made a poor connection. I would check out those things, and even try the relay, can't hurt there, cheap and even if it isn't it, then you have a spare lying around. Worse case scenario, bad starter, or even worse, the whole wiring is bad...PRAYS FOR WESTSLOPE THAT ISN'T THE CASE...had a buddy who had to replace his whole loom because some idiot did a horrible repair job on a vital section. Anywho, just check grounds, all of them, and the connectors at the positive cable up top. I had one of those go out too and same response on the car, but it would work sometimes. Hope that helps a little.
