  1. The dealer here weren't too much help, they weren't sure if the sub harness was what I wanted. We got the wires to the tranny done, the ones to the T case are melted so bad that its hard to tell which wires go where. We are gonna attempt it in the morning 1 at a time. No wreckers have any Nissan around here, only 97 or older. Thanks for the reply.
  2. my 2001 pathy got to hot pulling our trailer and melter all the wire harness near the transfer case. We rewired the transmission wires, but the transfer case wires are all melted together. I need a replacement part. Dealer doesn't know or show proper harnees and no wreckers have any 2001 pathfinders. Where could i get the short harness from the transfer case to the floor board?
  3. Yeah, got to be the connector, must be corroded, will check in the morning.
  4. Changed the fuel tank on my son's 94 Pathfinder. After getting it back together, doesn't start, don't here pump working. Checked pump connection and the gauge wire seems fine, but the pump power wire barely lights the test light. Seems like low Voltage. Got dark outside so I haven't used an Ohm meter on it, but was wondering if someone else ran into a similar problem. Will check to make sure wire isn't broke near connector tomorrow. Connector itself doesn't look bad. Any thoughts. Seems this truck is possessed, the easiest jobs become nightmares.
  5. Got it at Maslacks, a parts supplier here in Ontario, Canada. Curious to know why you asked.
  6. Changed starter and she's working, but I'm hoping it's all solved, doesn't quit when he's out somewhere offroading.
  7. My son Pathfinder, he has a 95, we had some problems back a while with the starter just clicking. Put in another starter and after doing the relay trick, we had the truck working good. I got him to disconnect his boombox cause I was sure he had something shorting or crossed or something. Well after working good for over a month, he tried connecting it up again, now after almost two weeks it's just clicking again. At first we just boosted it, seemed his battery was a little too low, but now it won't start even with a boost. It just clicks. I bypassed even the relay to hot wire it, and it still just clicks. Now is this the starter or can it be the security system stopping it from turning over. This truck seems possessed at times. And how do you get rid of the security crap. TIA
  8. I put 245/75r16 on my 01 with the stock 16X7 steel wheels. In a deep bind/flex, the back wheels go up in the wheel well and will rub. The front rub the inner plastic in reverse. But I haven't had it rub when fourwheeling yet. The tires are 30.5 inches tall and I couldn't go any taller. Hope that helps.
  9. Congrats, great looking Pathy and great capture of it.
  10. Nissan trucks are all rated at 26 psi, I always ran them at 28 psi.
  11. Well got the tires on and I'm very pleased. I only drove home so I haven't got any offroad reports, should have more info this weekend. You feel the lugs at crawl speed, but smoothed out as you start to roll. A small tire howl, just enough to let you know your rolling on mud tires. Like the look and they are close in the wheel wells, but they shouldn't rub as they don't get any closer as it twists. Here's some pics. and another
  12. They will look awesome. I got my tires today, but just put them on the steel wheels I have. Those rims would of been icing on the cake.
  13. These are on sale at Canadian tire. They look pretty awesome and the price is great. I checked the wrangler Duratracks and their about $70 more at the local goodyear tire shop. The new MT/R's looked great also but about $1200. These Territory are $813.60 for 4 LT245/75R16. Let you guys know how they work. They should fit on my 2001 Pathfinder right.
  14. Seems like it might be my altenator, this morning my battery light, A/T Oil Temp light and the one with the exclamation light all came on. I put an ohm meter and the battery is down to under 12 volts, 11.73 and doesn't change when the engine is running. Noise is gone now also. Has anyone changed the altenator on the 3.5L. It looks like I'll have to remove the fan shroud to get at it, it's at the bottom. Can it be done from the top or should it be done from the bottom. Any tips.
  15. My 2001 Pathfinder just started to make a vibrating humming sound from the front, around the pulleys. Today is the first warm day since October 2008 and this noise just started. Was wondering if someone else has experienced it and knows what it could be. seems to be around 1200 rpm and gets louder and you can feel it more at 1500rpm, then disappears above 1700 rpm. TIA for any help.
