    Had to "like" that post. The fluid level in the reservoir will "go down" as the pads loose thickness. It is a great idea to check the pads for wear and double check the break fluid level.

    Every thing in my "Pathy tool box" include all cheap azz metric (yet guaranteed) Duralast tools in it. I have done everything from my timing belt to a head swap on my wife's Honda with them. I keep my ohms meter and my OBDII code reader in there as well.

    Have you looked under the back seat (driver side). On my R50 you just have to flip the seat butt up and pull the velcroed carpet up.

    Do you think that it was still ground related? $150 for a new cluster seems a little high (unless a cluster from a JY Pathy would not suffice).

    Had an Optima red top last for seven years. I didn't want to pony up the $170 (is that right?) so I settled for a $110 Duralast battery. After about a year, I'm happy so far ...

    Rest assured, they are different. The R50 has struts in the front .. not shocks.

    I know the mechanicals are the same. I pulled the pass side LCA, rear anti-sway bar, muffler/tail pipe (from the cat back), and various interior trinkets from a '96. I joked with my buddies that I should round my '99.5 down to a '99 with all the parts I snagged off of the junker.

    Great idea on the spare tire roof mount. Much easier access than to place it in a roof basket.

    I would think that the front fenders, hood, grill, lights, and bumpers would be somewhat compatible. Too bad you can't park next to one and pop the hoods to get a side-by-side comparison.

    The guys on the WD21 forum should be able to help. Your '95 has a different suspension than the R50's.

    95's and earlier models are built differently. They (WD21) are body on frame which incorporate shocks on all four corners. The 96+ are unibody and have struts in the front. *edit ... I forgot to mention that "no", they did not have the same recall for your Pathy.
