  1. Do it when the tire is off??
  2. Id check that big 100 amp fuse in the fuse box above it Are you assuming the battery is dead before you get a boost or are you measuring the starting voltage??
  3. Im trying to do some trouble shooting and cant find the dates to correspond to what year car I have. Aparently there is big differences in the diagnostic I am doing between the two "years" so I need to be sure before I start. My door reads production date of 06 / 01 Thanks for the help if someone knows!!
  4. I personally use moog, very high quality. OEM is probably best for the price/quality if you plan on just driving the truck on city roads like a normal person.
  5. I think Im the only one whos done it on the Vq35, my pics are up in someone elses thread asking the same thing. Definitely worth it, not only for the ponies but it frees up ALOT of room. I did mine for under $100
  6. I had my ecu reflashed for $225 with shipping and got the limiter removed and some slight tweaks done. Had it done by a vendor on Nicoclub.com Kinda stops accelerating after 125 though
  7. I just wish it was $10 lol Taking the filter out and leaving it out "almost" just got my vote Thanks
  8. Just curious if this is a good price on a incabin filter and if the pathfinder filter is a direct slide in replacement to my Qx4 filter. http://www.courtesyparts.com/cabin-microfilters-19995-for-2004-pathfinder-p-227879.html?cPath=shoppingcart Mine looks horrible and I tried to clean it but its beyond dirty. Dealer isnt open or Id call and ask a price, and since Im already making an order on courtesy parts. $36 shipped to canada doesnt seem to bad added onto my order for clean air.... if itll fit Thanks!!!
  9. anyone?? I wana space these wheels out Dont know if the bags on good pressure will hold the add from touching fender since it wont be able to tuck anymore
  10. Curious why go with the SFD over say just getting 4-5" lift front springs?? I dont know much about the SFD but I thought I read it being $800ish? I bet even custom springs would be half that
  11. From what Ive read the OME and 4x4 parts "stock lift" all give the truck atleast 1" of lift. I like where my truck sits right now with the stock coils, it can handle the weight. Its that I want to put my 2" wheel spacers back on with my summer rims, so I cant have the ass end sag as much as it does on dips and bumps. Would the airlift kit at a fairly high psi stop the car from squatting and hitting my fender?? Sucks I missed out on that $25 off coupon that expired last week
  12. Curious if anyone else has had a kit fail on them. I had my kit fail but I believe I may have run them low on air. I have a good bit of weight in my truck from my stereo in the back (2-3 times heavier than most stereos) and I was planning on putting my 2" wheel spacers back on with my summer wheels soon. With the addition of the wheel spacers, that would put my tires flush with the outside of the fender flare, making it obviously unable to tuck tire into the fender now. Do you guys think I could get away with a new airlift kit with a good bit of psi in it to make it stiff enough that the tires would never contact the fender?? Im not looking to lift the truck at all. I actually like the look of it almost appearing lowerred, I just dont want to rip fenders off. The truck never sees mud, just my aggressive daily drive lol
  13. Ya I have a manual override switch aswell My fans were brand new slim fans with 1600cfm each I believe. Ive seen people be very successful with the the ford taurus electric fan to, which is a little thicker than most slimfans, but packs a whopper of some cfm's and is cheap cheap at junkyards. I think I only paid $120 for my fans and auto on/off kit. A proper shroud would help alot in effectively cooling the entire rad surface, but my car seems to cool fine and the fans barely turn on. And I like the huge ammount of space you gain getting rid of that huge shroud and fan and get rid of the hand eating deathtrap lmao.
  14. Leaky old hoses or a leak at the regulator would be my first guess
  15. You only have 2 cats. The ones downstream are resonators. Call Nissan to confirm but my qx4 is that way and Id imagine they are the same I would definetely not jump to swapping cats right now. First thing Id do is basic easy maintenance, sorry if you mentioned you did these I skimmed a bit. -6 platinum spark plugs -injector clean -air filter Regular gas isnt going to negatively affect mileage like that either, my Qx4 only sees 87. And I get 250miles to a tank no problem with 120k on the clock. Seafoam is also a good option that I highly recomend. But I suggest you research that indepth before doing it
  16. I went with brembo black rotors and EBC green stuff pads, quite a difference over my all oem nissan brake feel, I was impressed. I dont know much about EBC yellows though I was also hoping this was going to be tech talk about a rear disc conversion for some reason lol, I want that bad
  17. Stock CFM is in 3000 area My dual 14" setup is a squeeze but works amazing, auto turns on and off based on temp probe switch which is easy to wire, 180 on 170 off.
  18. I custom machined a 1.25" throttle spacer at my work out of a nice delrin material, basically a hard plastic that they make alot of newer intake manifolds from, the point of it was not really to gain mpgs or power really, but I wanted to space the coolant heater throttle body off of the intake manifold to keep intake temps down. The car sounded great with it alone (stock intake). I ended up throwing it out last year when I converted to dual alts as I was to aggressive bolting it on and stripped the threads out of it enough that I wasnt comforatable using it anymore. I really wasnt impressed by it much anymore anyways, I think youre money could be better spent elsewhere THEN I made my own CAI with 3" ID piping and the highest flowing 6" length K&N filter they make, gasket match ported the upper and lower intake manifolds while I had them off for the power valve screws and made a custom 3" side exit flat tip exhaust with flowmaster 40 straight through... car sounds like a damn beast now, as people have mentionned Simply ditching the MASSIVE stock airbox and all its bs and just putting a nice flowing cone filter on the end makes the car so much more enjoyable to drive to me. I also put on some high flow cats but the smell in traffic was a bit much with my side exit
  19. ^^^ Comes with the lugnuts by the way, you dont need to buy them like I did. I just wanted black, and mine were beat up looking
  20. I use a 2" spacer per side with my summer rims and tires http://cgi.ebay.ca/Wheel-Adapters-6-Lug-Toyota-Nissan-Mazda-Spacers-1-/370487703487?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5642c9b7bf I bought mine from this seller, great quality 6061 part as described. Best price I could find, and best of all for us canadians he combines and doesnt rape on shipping. He charges $32 for upto 2 sets, so no matter if you buy one or two pairs its $32 shipping. I think I bought my 2" spacers and black chrome lug nuts from him, as far as I know its the best deal out there for us
  21. No luck getting this light to go off Can anyone specify in the fsm where it shows the trigger for the rear hatch being open?? Which wire colors. I cant find any specific info on it in the FSM. My rear hatch also has no power with the key fob right now, doesnt lock on its own when I lock all the other doors...
  22. Props on doing it yourself. I changed mine with a piece fabricated by my friends dad (he does industrial hoses for a living) and saved a ton of cash and cleaned up my bay a bit, my line was beat. I would say the problem is not common though, a leak is a leak, shlt happens
  23. What!! This is a 2" ac lift?? ONLY?? My shlt, when I seen you give props to 01 I thought you did a sfd 4" That looks great man Id love to hear what you changed in the front end as far as bearing/mount etc. I need to order a few things and that strut mount is near the top of the list, would love to know what needs replacing and a part number or two if you got a minute
  24. :coffee!: Good morning, up early The rear hatch on my qx4 is a fat heavy girl. Has an extra probably 5-7lbs in deadner, and was already weak to lift on its own and hold the weight of the hatch, and Im about to add even more weight to it Has anyone ever upgraded or found a brand that lifted could hold a hatch with extra weight. Figured maybe someone needed to hold a tire or soemthing and would compare to the 25 extra pounds mine is going to weigh Replacement I found on ebay for $70/pair http://cgi.ebay.ca/REAR-GATE-HATCH-TRUNK-LIFT-SUPPORTS-SHOCKS-STRUTS-ARMS-/190503192059?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AQX4&hash=item2c5ae005fb Does anyone have a easy way to quickly find part numbers for the R50? I find courtesy parts confusing trying to buy parts for my Qx4, knowing the oem part number quick would make life easy.
