  1. I'll warn you right now, unless you have the inside bracing to install that thing, you won't be able to mount it up, regardless of which year Pathy you have. There are two upper inner braces and two lower inner braces needed, plus the latch and bumpstop that bolt on below the hatch door. My 88 has none of the braces pre-installed inside the body. Also, those things weigh like 80 lbs, no kidding. Unless it's in your town or close by, shipping's gonna be a KILLER.
  2. Yeah, but don't ding up the threads in the LCA while you're doing it, or the bolts will NEVER thread in...
  3. Swaybars on the WD21's are all the same stock, and yes, the strut rod bushings suck to replace. The lower control arm bolts don't line up very well with the new bushings installed.
  4. You could also check out the Pacific NW XTerra group...they're pretty big. They have a nice website too. http://www.pnwx.net/
  5. Mako resells Energy Suspension bushings too. I bought a UCA set from them a while ago. The dumbasses left me a NEGATIVE feedback after I left them a neutral cause they couldn't ship the dammn bushings to me within 15 days. They responded saying I never got them the vehicle info they needed to ship the bushings in the first place, which is a total lie. I paid for the bushings AND sent the info they needed the day after the auction ended, then had to send the info AGAIN cause they didn't answer some questions I asked, got some really short crappy email replies, emailed AGAIN cause they STILL didn't respond to my questions...and waited, and waited, and waited... I'm not buying from them again. Bastards. Check it out: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ame=STRK:ME:UFS
  6. Crappeh, man. I feel your pain, brother!
  7. I bet if you call these people, you could get a complete set for a good price. http://www.suspension.com/nissanpickups.htm
  8. Might be the rear control arm bushings. Lots of people report a wobble or shimmy at speed due to bad control arm bushings.
  9. Yeah. Lie underneath it and have somebody bounce on your back bumper as hard as they can. See what moves. Or if you're strong enough, do bench presses from underneath and bounce it yourself.
  10. AC sells Energy Suspension bushings. I'd go on over to a local offroad shop and have them look up the part numbers for ya from either Daystar Poly Products or Energy. You'd probably save a couple of bucks and only have to wait one or two days. My local offroad shop can get parts in one day usually.
  11. Doesn't fit in a Pathfinder engine bay, man. Not unless you can fab everything yourself and have a ton of $$ to throw at it. Now, a supercharger, however...fits somewhat OK...hehe
  12. The CV's don't spin unless the hubs are locked or the t-case is in 4WD...
  13. I don't know if they're longer, but aren't the roofs on the R50's rounded instead of flat like on the WD21s?
  14. Swaybar endlink bushings? Shock bushings? Missing coil spring isolator?
  15. There's a vaccuum line going to the CC diaphragm...if that's disconnected your CC won't work...and having a falling-apart switch doesn't help, I'd say. The tachometer, I dunno. I hear that if that goes out on ya, replacing the guage itself is the only fix.
  16. 1" strut spacers might work for that purpose, but nobody makes them. Biggest lift you can currently get for an R50 in the US is 2". You can get a 4" or 6" lift from Japan, but the shipping cost would be dammn near the cost of the kit itself. L&P Performance is testing out a 3" and 6" lift kit for R50's but they haven't been released yet.
  17. You need a longer breaker bar. Try putting one on there and then jacking up the end of the bar with a jack. They'll come loose with enough leverage.
  18. How are your tie rods doing? Loose/sloppy tie rods might do that to ya.
  19. Heh, when I go to the sand dunes, I get about 4-6 MPG...I normally get about 10-12 MPG.
  20. If you put heavier spring rate coils (but not taller) in there, it'll probably ride like a Mack truck when the back end's unloaded... boingy boingy... Get yourself a set of JGC springs and cut a full coil off the top. That might get you about where you want to be. They're a higher spring rate than stock. Or you could try to find some rear air shocks, that'd help.
  21. You can get a 2" lift from AC or Old Man Emu, I think. That'll let you fit 32" tires if you trim the fenders a little.
  22. Want anything in trade? I can get quite a lot of things you might need. Need anything for your Pathy?
  23. This has been covered before...the starter solenoid wire is either corroded, needs replacing or the starter relay needs to be replaced. In a pinch, you can tap on the starter relay and see if it starts after that. Sometimes it just sticks closed.
  24. Where are you located? What kind of tires are they? Which wheels are they? How cheap is "real cheap"?
