Each to their own, but I've always been skeptical of PVC pipes used for snorkels. They will fail you at the worst possible moment, and if you run a diesel, heaven help you! While you can see at a glance wear and tear on the outside, its the inside that would worry me the most. Another thing to be wary of is branches hitting it when wheeling in the forests/bush etc. Having said that, good on you for giving it a go.

Radio Wiring from Tyre Carrier
kiwipete replied to InfamousDuckMan's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Turn the bracket around so it faces out to open the glass. -
That's one smart looking grill, I'd love one of those for my truck.

Here you go, near the end of page one. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18621

This is where one needs to install after market relays for any alterations to the headlights. Along with heavier wiring. The factory wiring is fine to supply the relays, just beef up the wiring from relays to plugs and from battery to relays. I did a write-up a while back on here regarding how to wire in relays if anyone's interested.

And me too please.

That's a real nice looking truck, smart colour too. Could you please post some close ups of the front guards showing the trimming and stretching please. Id also like to see how the nudge bar is attached. Thanks.

I agree in part here. Even if it has power it may be shorted out. I would remove the melted fuse and replace it with a new one. As it is there is no way of knowing if it has shorted inside, which I suspect it has. This would explain why it has melted. I would also be looking at the wiring loom behind it as this too will be suffering from meltdown, possibly leading to other wires being melted to it/them too. You have some work ahead of you. Disconnect the battery and remove the fuse box to inspect the wiring loom and inspect behind it.

He should be shot with a ball of his own @!*%!

I would also look at the starter clutch pack, mine did a similar thing.

Ill have to do some homework and see what my diff is and get back to you.
-
thanks, kinda confirmed my suspicions.
-
Well, I might just go ahead with the purchase of the one I was offered then, and if it turns out to be the wrong one, I spose I could always find someone who wants it then. I don't think there is a need to swap the front diff is there? All this LSD stuff is completely foreign to me, I was just told I should get one. By the time I heard the horn, and reconised that it was you, it was too late to give you a blast of mine, lol Did you happen to have a spare LSD there? $$$
-
Been there , done that. lol
-
Sorry, but what I was meaning, is the LSD part of the gearing, or an extra part thats inserted etc? As you can probably tell, I know jack about LSD workings.
-
Thanks, I will look for that. Will this gearing be a problem when swapping the LSD over?
-
Does anyone know if there is different gear ratios from the 91 to 95 models? I am looking at a LSD for my 95 Terrano that is off a 91 model. Mine is an auto and what this one is/was, is unknown to me. Does it matter about the ratios for the LSD side of things? Is there anything else I should be aware of? What's involved in transferring it? This is what the seller said about it; Front diff.. Rear diff..LSD..limited slip good condition, complete rear axle assembly with brake hubs etc.. off a 91 5 door.

Let me know what you think of these tyres as we use them at work on the bosses utes. They howl like a bugger on the road, dunno what pressures they have in them, I suspect too high any way. I also noticed they cut out in a weird pattern on the fronts too, but get bugger all off road use too.

Use the "search" feature. There was a posting not ltoo long ago with the web links to where you can down load the manuals for your truck.

What is the URL for the Jap sites please?

When I did my 2" body lift, I only had to extend the power steering hose. The fuel hoses at the filler cap were loosened as were all metal pipes attached to the engine bay. I didn't relocate the radiator but I did have to shorten the bottom radiator hose two inches. All my body bolts came out easily enough, but re inserting the two rear ones proved a little tricky, I loosened the flange bolts that hold the rear section so I could get the bolt to go into the threaded area. I did a post on here a while back on my install, http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/vie...f=18&t=9717, there are photos showing the rear area in question. One last thing I did do was to completely throw away those plastic bungs that are covering the bolts inside the floor area (I busted mine getting them out anyway), under the carpet. Duct tape was placed over them to prevent water coming up through the floor, cause it will come in there when river crossing etc.

Shaved teeth on timing belt - possible causes?
kiwipete replied to 92Pathy808's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Too loose I can understand, but too tight? -
Hope this helps you.

Its a case of having to use a BL here as we are restricted in what we can get certed and the cost of a SAS is prohibitive here too. Anyways hows the progress going, I really want to see how its looking with the winch mounting.
