  1. Yikes. I don't think I'd much like meeting up with your polar bear...
  2. AFAIK, Neons dominated some SCCA class for awhile, I think it was the stock class.
  3. a fish in the eye? come on! jeez louise!
  4. I don't think there is a panhard bar on your sentra. a sway bar just keeps body roll under control from under the vehicle. It's okay to run without one, but I wouldn't be pushing the twisties as now the rear end will be quite unpredictable. I doubt it's from your newly installed lowering springs as it shouldn't have changed anything to put added stress on the bar. Good news, now you can upgrade to a stiffer bar!
  5. WD21's have a stock EGT sensor? That blows my mind, where is it??
  6. This applies to any kind of gauge that is measure pressure or temp. You want electrical, because you don't want oil, transmission fluid, or fuel running into the cabin. It's stupid, dangerous, and there are much better and safer ways of doing it.
  7. seems to break more stuff than he fixes. *sigh*

  8. http://www.nwjeepn.com/WAtrails.htm I like this site.
  9. I have yet to acquire a toolbox. I do need one, badly.
  10. Are pathies right hand drive in puerto rico? Is the ECU still on the right side of the car in right hand drive models? Cause what it sounds like to me, is that you found the ECU.
  11. Through the fender is the only way I can get an oil filter to thread, I tried for about half an hour from the top before I gave up.
  12. Mister510 came through and was able to clean up the threads good enough to get the spark plug in there. He told me to leave it in there for at least 100k miles... hah.
  13. Yeah, the threads on the spark plug are messed up, so... yuh. And I was threading it by hand, I learned a few years ago not to start bolts/nuts/etc with a wrench/socket, had to replace several wheel studs on my first car. Mister510 says he can fix it.
  14. Good article! I agree with the Land Cruiser and the e30 m3. mmhmmm e30 m3...
  15. So I decided to do a slight tune up today, new cap and rotor and spark plugs, also replaced my battery terminals. Upon trying to find the #6 spark plug after taking the boot off, I was sitting on the engine, well... more like the radiator and broke the upper spot where the hose goes. yay. And my real problem, I can't get the spark plug to thread in straight, I tried several times to get it to go in correctly, it felt too tight, so I'd back it off and try again, each time I did it it felt so, so I thought maybe there was some dirt/gunk in the threads. So I went with it, just in case it had misthreaded I fired it up and there was an occasional miss, so I pulled the plug back out, and I indeed started stripping the threads. So now what? It's only the first couple that are borked on the spark plug, but I fear I effed the head up.
  16. Well, now I have three. I pocketed one at the junkyard. My pocket wasn't big enough for the both of them =/
  17. Yeah I know. Which is why it threw me off when I first saw them, cause I was used to gas charged shocks on cars.
  18. Seriously though, get a bug shield!
  19. I notice mine rocks back and forth too. I really need to get a front end alignment... I'll probably wait til I lift it.
  20. Blue smoke is oil. Black smoke is fuel. White smoke is antifreeze/water/condensation.
  21. Yeah, shocks should not do what you're able to do with them. They should be extremely difficult to compress, and once pressure it let off of them, they should fully extend. Which really threw me off with my pathfinders ranchos. They don't extend on their own.
  22. Does it feel like it's lost some power? if so, I would also vote a plugged up cat. Which usually a plugged cat and a bad o2 sensor go hand in hand. so check both of them.
  23. Wow! Quite a difference. Both front and rear should have settled a little from the drive. Your rears MAY be tokico blues and I would bet that your fronts are original. I'm pretty sure my pathy was still running its original timing belt at 195k miles... Which would also make it safe to guess that the waterpump I didn't replace was also the original... One thing to note, and I also noticed this on my supra. Is that your rear springs were probably sagging so much, that the lowering springs don't look like they did anything.
  24. Why did you talk him out of it? I would have followed him in! Are you available Monday for a return trip to Tahuya?
