  1. Mister510 is letting me borrow a pyrometer so I've been messing around with it. After ~45 miles of mostly freeway driving, his transmission was running about 180* and mine was closer to 150*. He's just running his stock radiator and I'm running a fresh radiator with a 12,000GVW cooler as well. These temps were taking from the bottom of the transmission pan.
  2. What a beautiful day at Evans! Most fun wheeling I've ever had. Didn't take any pics, but I took a battery full of videos! Probably only about 10-20 minutes total, I need to get some spares for my camera.

  5. Yeah, those damn ex police crown vics get my adrenaline pumping sometimes, especially when the driver comes up on my ass quicker than... well, you know.

  9. Glad you got it figured out and it was something really simple! Would have been horrible to just keep throwing parts at it...
  10. Yeah, my guess is going to be some worn out bushings that aren't keeping the rear axle located properly.
  11. Those Neons also came with a 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust from the factory. I actually wouldn't mind picking one up for a nice daily.

  13. I believe a high hydro carbon count == failed catalytic converter, or a bad o2 sensor.

  15. I've always been taught to set the idle RPM at, well, idle not in a gear. the ECU should take care of the rest from there.
  16. Kingman. You really put your truck in gear and got out of it to adjust the idle?
  17. Idle has always meant out of gear. Neutral. Park. Whatever. It should be around 800rpm when it's fully warmed up. 1200'ish on a cold start just to get stuff moving around. When I put mine into gear, the rpm barely changes, MAYBE down to 600.
  18. I'd like to see a malibu do exactly what you said you wanted to do. Where you gonna put the bikes? the tiny ass trunk?
  19. Basically. Put both of those tires side by side, and you couldn't tell they were different sizes unless you looked.
  20. Actually, even though the rim and the tire is a different size, the difference between the two are so minimal that it wouldn't matter. It would definitely look funny, but there would be no problem with running it as a spare as the radius of the tires are pretty much the same.
  21. no sway bar because of lowering springs? Uh... I'd get a thicker bar with lowering springs, and a strut tower brace as well. I love corner carvers. I push the pathfinder too hard sometimes...

  23. Yup, it is actually part of the EGR system. It's on page EC-16 of the FSM.
