  1. Thanks for the prompt reply! I'll be replacing both of mine with the earlier style, just have to find a truck where they didn't set it down on the trailing arms... lol
  2. So, I was looking at my truck today, and noticed something odd. A bar that hooks to the rear suspension was kind of bent, I compared it to the one on the otherside, and it was straight. Mister510 comes over and I point it out to him and he says "oh, looks like you bent one of your trailing arms!" and then he went on to say "hmm, never noticed before, but yours are different than mine." And he was correct. My rig has tubular style trailing arms, and his has like... uh, mini I beam trailing arms. Best way I can think of describing them. Went to the junkyard, found about 5-6 different pathy's there. the only one that had the tubular style like mine was a 2/95 build date. I think the latest year before that was a 93. Didn't have big enough tools to pull one off either, so I'm still stuck with a bent one. So my question is this, which is stronger, and do they swap out between years? I would assume they are same length/eyelet size.
  3. I may add one later on down the road, just from what is being suggested here. But I will state, column heat is down to nil, about that of cabin temp, if not less. where as before, the console was very warm to the touch.
  4. Why are your wheels on jackstands? Shouldn't it be safely perched on the frame? Sounds like you have some rather unsafe working conditions...
  5. Just installed mine today, meant to get the one rated at 16k GVWR but accidentally got the 12k one, it should be well enough. As the rig only weighs 4200 and I don't think I'll be towing 8k pounds of anything. And pics of my install, I put it between the AC condenser and the radiator, there was just enough room for it to fit! I ran the lines under the radiator, again, just enough room for that.
  6. Yeah, there is another part that fits on the end of the CV held on by a C clip. It is required for the manual hubs to work as nothing from the auto hub can be used for a manual hub and visa-versa. Hopefully you can get a refund, or they can go to whereever they got the hub and ship you what you need! FYI: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26934
  7. You forgot a part. see mine?

  9. I'm getting about 20mpg with mixed city and highway driving with an AT and 31s. Right now I'm running some stock Toyota steelies.
  10. That is definitely the wrong way. The TPS is a delicate electro-device that gives the ECU exact figures. So basically how you have it now, is that the ECU is thinking the throttle is at one position, when it's really at another. In the FSM it should tell you how to set it. You'll probably need some sort of multimeter to read the signal that the TPS is putting out.

  12. There is a slight chance that somehow your TPS got misaligned or went bad.
  13. With bigger tires, you odometer will be off, so when you calculate your mileage, you'll show lower numbers. I notice with my truck, I get about the same with 31x10.5 as I did with 235/75's
  14. I also like the saturday choice. Means I can still work on sunday and make my 22$ an hour standing around texting.
  15. Sounds like you could be a member of my family. I make fun of them all the time for the overuse of "ain't" and double negatives. "I do not have no..." *shudders*
  16. If you want a community to be eyes for you, a tag number is definitely required. Because like I said, white pathfinders are a dime a dozen around here. Also a contact phone number would be helpful, I have the net on my phone so I could just post in this thread, but others do not have that luxury.
  17. The only reason I suggest a weekday is just so we have the trails to ourself and not have to worry about some other club that is there as well, that way we can take our time and have some fun and film a lot of it. I realize a lot of people have those snazzy 9-5 M-F jobs and can only have the weekends off. Like I said, only a suggestion!
  18. Well darn it. I was hoping to go somewhere new, but at least this is much closer to my house so much more feasible for my budget. And when we go... there shouldn't be any snow... or sheets of ice It would be best to pick a weekday to do it, as there shouldn't be too many people, a weekend during the warmer months would probably make for a crowded trail.
  19. If it ran the VG motor, then it should work. But don't hold me to that information!
  20. License plate number? white pathfinders with dings and dents are a dime-a-dozen around here you know... But will also keep my eye open of course! I'm worried about the fate of my pathfinder, especially with your insurance company saying four have been stolen in the last thirty days... P.S. If I saw it, I would follow it, no matter what my appointment was.
  21. Yeah, I need a new boot bad. It would really make my broken exhaust manifold studs less noticeable!
  22. My TC shifter pops up automagically when I put it into 4lo. I pushed on it pretty hard today to go back into neutral while I was messing with it today. I had to push it down to get it back into N and then 4hi
  23. It's not a rebuild. They are in the 01+ xterras and frontiers. Just to be on the safe side, try and get an '01. Mister510 would be able to give specifics. They basically took the stock transmission in our trucks and the hardbody, and built it up to handle ~270hp.
