  1. Take it to a shucks (oreilly's) or autozone have them test the charging system, they should have a tester to do it while it's all in the vehicle.
  2. Unless you changed your speedometer gear, there is no way you're still "dead on" with a gps. With your current setup, stock being 235/70R15's to 32x11.50R15 (292/74R15's) an indicated speed of 52mph(84kph) would be an actual speed of 60mph(96.5kph). When your odometer shows 87miles(140.5km), you will have actually traveled 100miles(160.9km). Your odometer is reading low by 12.7% Hopefully this helps.
  3. It just clips onto the center bar, when you look at it upclose you'll see and *facepalm* I plan on swapping HB grill and headlights onto my truck. Though the pathfinder lights are really nice for being stock, I'd rather get some Euro H4 conversion lights. Cheap and abundant. Unlike pathfinder headlights.
  4. Looks pretty level to me... And besides, Mister510's truck was angled where mine is a straight edge. If it were angled like his, it wouldn't hit.
  5. I like the early grill better as well. I did the next best thing and just took off the nissan emblem, it just clips onto it, very easy to remove.
  6. Put 31x10.5's today on stock lego wheels. and they hit the stock front valance. not too horrible, but gonna go after it with a sawzall.
  7. You're still living in the TBI world us MPFI guys have it easy with air intake mods.
  8. They are probably just 31x10.50 as that is the most common. Which would fit.
  9. I would say they are more aggressive than all seasons! If things go well, I may even have new t-bars!
  10. When I changed my diff fluid, I think my magnet had more crude on it than yours. It's just something that happens with differentials and limited slips, that's why the stock plug is a magnet to catch it all. Grinding noises should not be occurring though. As for the original drum brakes and now discs, XE models came standard with drums, and SE's came standard with disc. If they work, keep them! Disc are so much easier to deal with than drums.
  11. I will also need a set date, at least two weeks in advance, as I am usually scheduled over the weekend.
  12. Going with a rebuild, or the HD upgrade?
  13. It would be easier to splice in a dual filament base. as a single filament base is only going to have one contact for the bulb.
  14. This is exactly what was happening with my truck. Thankfully it was due for the transmission to be replaced so I just had both done at the same time. Haven't had a problem with it yet!
  15. I also voted manastash. Seems like it would be a good place for trucks of all sizes/mods.
  16. As had already been said, it won't work. In 96 every vehicle in the U.S. switched from OBD1 to OBD2. You'll notice a lot of cars also changed 'generations' that year. As far as I know, it's federally illegal to put older engines/electronics into a newer chassis.
  17. No way of really knowing, but I'll assume I still had my original starter at 192,000. It would kick over if someone was holding the key to start and someone else tapped the solenoid with the jack handle. My A/C still blows ice cold and no signs of voltage loss... **crosses fingers**
  18. Dowser, my jaw is permanently dropped. My hats off to you sir!
  19. If you haven't put an external transmission cooler on it, do it. Or else you'll end up cooking this transmission as well.
  20. Yeah, sadly I have quite a few no insurance tickets under my belt. it's a 550 dollar ticket in WA. Never been in an accident with out insurance though, which I find rather ironic. And when I have had insurance, and been in accidents, the other driver hasn't had it.
  21. WTF DUDE? Cops sound much more harsh down there than up here. My lucky to get out ticket was in my old supra. I was down at the kent street races meet up spot just cruising through meeting up with some friends. Didn't have insurance at the time and this cop is following me through a parking lot, so just to get him off my ass I pull into this stores parking spot, store is closed, and I pull into a spot with a "no trespassing" sign right in front of it. Cop comes up to the window and says he's gonna cite me for modified exhaust (it was a 2.25" straight pipe already on the car when I bought it) and trespassing. I told him that as far as I knew the exhaust was stock and that I was only down there to meet up with a friend to off load some spare parts I had and not to race. Which was semi-legit, my car was laden down with parts and I tell him I don't have insurance. so he takes my license and registration, comes back a couple minutes later and he says he better not see me down there again tonight and sends me on my way.
  22. I'm with nunya on this one...
