I may add one later on down the road, just from what is being suggested here. But I will state, column heat is down to nil, about that of cabin temp, if not less. where as before, the console was very warm to the touch.

Why are your wheels on jackstands? Shouldn't it be safely perched on the frame? Sounds like you have some rather unsafe working conditions...

Just installed mine today, meant to get the one rated at 16k GVWR but accidentally got the 12k one, it should be well enough. As the rig only weighs 4200 and I don't think I'll be towing 8k pounds of anything. And pics of my install, I put it between the AC condenser and the radiator, there was just enough room for it to fit! I ran the lines under the radiator, again, just enough room for that.

Yeah, there is another part that fits on the end of the CV held on by a C clip. It is required for the manual hubs to work as nothing from the auto hub can be used for a manual hub and visa-versa. Hopefully you can get a refund, or they can go to whereever they got the hub and ship you what you need! FYI: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=26934

I'm getting about 20mpg with mixed city and highway driving with an AT and 31s. Right now I'm running some stock Toyota steelies.

That is definitely the wrong way. The TPS is a delicate electro-device that gives the ECU exact figures. So basically how you have it now, is that the ECU is thinking the throttle is at one position, when it's really at another. In the FSM it should tell you how to set it. You'll probably need some sort of multimeter to read the signal that the TPS is putting out.

There is a slight chance that somehow your TPS got misaligned or went bad.

With bigger tires, you odometer will be off, so when you calculate your mileage, you'll show lower numbers. I notice with my truck, I get about the same with 31x10.5 as I did with 235/75's

If it ran the VG motor, then it should work. But don't hold me to that information!

Yeah, I need a new boot bad. It would really make my broken exhaust manifold studs less noticeable!

My TC shifter pops up automagically when I put it into 4lo. I pushed on it pretty hard today to go back into neutral while I was messing with it today. I had to push it down to get it back into N and then 4hi

It's not a rebuild. They are in the 01+ xterras and frontiers. Just to be on the safe side, try and get an '01. Mister510 would be able to give specifics. They basically took the stock transmission in our trucks and the hardbody, and built it up to handle ~270hp.

Whatever it is, it sounds scary. I have had my driver seat in and out a couple times and haven't any issues like this. P.S. Gremlins...?

Due to rarity, I would try my damndest to not modify either grill in any way.

If you have to pass any kind of inspection where they make sure your vehicle works like it did from the factory, this modification will make you automatically fail. Legally (read: federal regulation BS), your fog lights should not operate unless the headlights are turned on as well, and foglights are to turn off when the high beams are turned on. But, by all means, please do this. All you need to do is tap a power wire from your parking lights, and have it trigger the relay to turn the fog lights on. Or, to have them act independently from everything else, find the relay, and run a wire from the trigger pin, to a constant power source, aka the battery. Then you would have total control of the fog lights from the switch inside the truck. Hope this helps!

I vote you do the heavy duty auto swap...

I did notice the bars are marked L and R on one end. When installing new bars, does it not matter how they go in and just stick them in any ole way, but then when they need to be re-indexed is when they should be marked? I know my truck has both nuts, as when I got it I had to crank them to the max cause it looked like this:
-
I may have missed it. But is there any particular way to install brand new bars? or does it not matter?
-
Touche good sir, touche. BUT, i only air down when I go to wheeling spots, for a quick romp in the mud, i usually just leave the tires alone.
-
Yeah, but I'm lazy. That still means getting out. No, but really, as soon as I find a set of 4x4 HB hubs, I'm going to swap them out. Also, slightly off topic, on ebay there are 'Rugged Rock' manual hubs, I can't remember if they are 150 shipped, or 150+shipping, would be a good deal if they are better than mile markers

I have gotten stuck plenty of times in 2wd, put the TC into 4hi or 4lo and just feathered the throttle and pulled right through. my hubs don't make any noise when engaging, just a soft click when disengaging, have to REALLY listen for it. Auto hubs are nice in the fact that you don't have to get out into the nasty mud/muck/whatever you're stuck in. Just shift the TC and GOOOOO

You have a rear door light? My hatch just lights up the door ajar light. drove me nuts one day when I noticed it was on, opened all four doors and shut them, with no change on the light. Figured the hatch would have its own like like the tire carrier.
