I have a cherry bomb on mine and love the way it sounds. I got one that is just about 20 inches long. It's pretty tame til laid into the go pedal, but I don't notice too much of a drone on the freeway.

Personally, I would put that money towards an alarm system. I'm glad my pathfinder came with a factory installed alarm system that is actually pretty nice for being stock. hood and shock sensors. Congrats on getting the window so soon! A buddy of mine had his pathy broken into 6-7 months ago and he still hasn't replaced that very same window.

Four cylinders have a knack for sounding ricey.

It wouldn't necessarily run bad. It would just be slower than usual, but not too much.

That truck has been there for awhile. I didn't take too close of a look where there might have been a lightbar though. I find it quite ironic that an aamco truck is in there with no physical body damage, aka, fscked trans!

The stock exhaust is 2" OD. And whereas they may be 3 liter v6's they still need to be able to flow better. This truck has the same exhaust piping that my 1.8L 4 cylinder mazda had. 2.25" ID exhaust piping would make it sound nicer, and perform better on the freeway.

When I had a sound system in my old car, I would turn it down immediately of being within three blocks of my destination in a residential area, and turn it down just before turning into a parking lot of a store.

It might also need the catalytic converter replaced.

I have stock exhaust piping, but I did replace the muffler with a cherrybomb. I like it, it's nice and quiet until I lay into the skinny pedal. I do plan on replacing the entire exhaust system eventually though. DT Header, high flow cat, 2.25" piping.

I got some sylvania silverstar ultras on ebay for 18 bucks shipped. they have lasted me well over a year. On the debate of 9004 vs 9007, the 9007 has a higher low beam wattage, but the tabs are put different so they do not swap, you have to ground one of the tabs off. but even still, the filament is aligned differently so they do not work properly in a wd21 housing or any other 9004 housings and visa versa.

Either, I'm really drunk, or you were really drunk. cause that post didn't make much sense to me. Sadly, nothing can really be done to these trucks that won't break the bank of a poor college kid. Modding a vehicle is best left after college. Our intakes already flow more than the engine can handle, that has been proven here on the board, someone did a bench flow test on it. As for the exhaust, go to any exhaust/muffler shop and tell them you want a custom 2.25" exhaust system made up for it. This, of course, is after you buy your headers and a new muffler.

While it is normal for your RPM to fluctuate when you turn your wheel when stopped, it going that high doesn't seem normal to me. Your power steering is one of those nasty parasitic drag devices which only really causes drag when you're turning your wheel, therefore the ECU compensates for that by adjusting the RPM.

5,000 is definitely not low budget in my book! Shoot, I bought my truck for $725, and paid $1500 to get the transmission swapped.

I wish I lived in a world where 110k miles was considered "high". My truck has just short of 200k and I expect it to go at least another 100-200k. When buying any new-to-you vehicle, check the usual thing. see if they have maintenance records, check for rust, definitely check for rust. The R50 pathfinder has its place off road, but stock for stock, I believe the older WD21 (86-95) is much better. As for the XE, SE, LE debate, I know on the WD21 it's just a sticker and doesn't really mean anything, but they may have changed that on the R50's

Toyota wheels will work, I'm running some stock steelies. they stick out a little more than the stock wheels, but they work just fine!

You should be able to read DOT if you were laying under your truck with the foot facing the front.

Count the splines on the Warn hub. There will probably be 27. the 95 model year has 28

USUALLY, bad rings will make it smoke all the time, and bad valve seals will make it blow blue on a cold start, or after idling for a little bit and then taking off.

Add an external transmission cooler NOW. The auto trannies are prone to failure because the stock cooler clogs and creates excess heat. Heat is the worst thing for automatic transmission. So yes, add an external cooler immediately, or you'll be looking at a rebuild, or swapping in a known good one.

So, I was looking at my truck today, and noticed something odd. A bar that hooks to the rear suspension was kind of bent, I compared it to the one on the otherside, and it was straight. Mister510 comes over and I point it out to him and he says "oh, looks like you bent one of your trailing arms!" and then he went on to say "hmm, never noticed before, but yours are different than mine." And he was correct. My rig has tubular style trailing arms, and his has like... uh, mini I beam trailing arms. Best way I can think of describing them. Went to the junkyard, found about 5-6 different pathy's there. the only one that had the tubular style like mine was a 2/95 build date. I think the latest year before that was a 93. Didn't have big enough tools to pull one off either, so I'm still stuck with a bent one. So my question is this, which is stronger, and do they swap out between years? I would assume they are same length/eyelet size.
