  1. Yeah its sitting at -15F here and over night its supposed to get down to -25F...but the Pathy has been starting up fine this week with these temps... Only problem I've had so far was my emergency brake light not going off when I released the brake this morning. It wasn't until my lunch brake before the light finally shut off. Scared me for a minute, I thought the brake had seized.
  2. Fueler, thats not going to help you from getting stuck in the sand...
  3. I can say that I've been lucky to never have run out of gas.(Knocks on wood). I've never seen my fuel light come on either...Not even sure it works...lol
  4. Thomas did you get the bumper done in town? Where? How much? Pezzy's is stil my fav.
  5. Sorry to hear about that dude. Yet another reason that I can't wait to get rid of my grill guard and get a real bumper... So have you thought about what you're going to replace it with?
  6. THanks for the link man. I think the bumper doesn't look that bad nor is the price. It would be nice to see a pic with one with the grill and light guards.
  7. Does KMA have a site? I did a quick google serach and didn't see one. Edit: Nevermind, I found it. http://www.kenmtn.com
  8. 10 replies and only 3 worthy of any information. How could I expect any less from you whores?
  9. Since I've been on this island, I haven't been able to keep up with the happenings and such that have to do with NPORA, it's members, and Pathy related info. Here are some things I've discovered since I've built my "cantenna" and have access to the internet. -New POHO thread Why was the first one closed or shut down? -Slick's sand rail stolen... Any new developments? -Marcel has begun to offer more body armor for Pathys. -OzMattie installed an aftermarket snorkel on his R50. Has anyone else gone this route? Thats all I can think of right now... Chime in you guys and update me!
  10. They are a little tough to remove. You have to pull outwards and up at the same time after you removed the screw(s).
  11. Sorry for my absence around here guys. I have to drive to town and sit at an internet cafe in order for me to get online. It was $6 an hour but luckily there's a free network that I can connect to while sitting at the cafe. Anyways, sorry to hear that you got sniped. Maybe one of these days I should do a write-up on it if I can remember the exact process. The only thing I remember having to buy are longer bolts after you remove all 4 end caps off the rails to accommodate the height of the 03+ SE rack end caps.
  12. Wow Pezzy, very impressive!!! So jealous, especially since I'm Pathyless for the moment...
  13. You can find a decent deal on the Irdium's on Ebay too. Thats where I got mine.
  14. Thanks for the tips guys. I'm so bummed that I'll be leaving the Pathy behind...but its only temporary. Also because I just paid her off last month after 3 years. :contract: Towel stuffed in the tail pipe? Hmmm, thats a new one to me. To keep water and condensation out? I'm not sure if I will have the option of jacking the car up off the tires...how detrimental will this be to my tires? I weighed out the option of possibly taking it with me but I can't justify the $1800 round trip ticket. Our return flight is for 9/14/06 so I am planning on buying a "cruiser" for under $1000 and drive it and sell it when that time comes. Depending on what my internet situation is when I first get out there, I'll ask for feedback on the different cars we will be looking at.
  15. So in about 2 weeks I will be heading over to Maui for about 7 months. The Pathy will hopefully be stored in a garage at a relative's house. Maybe even in outdoors in a driveway if the garage space falls through. Are there any special preparations I should do for the Pathy so it will be fine during that period of inactivity? I will be changing the oil this week, disconnecting the battery when I store it, and making sure the gas tank is full. Is there anything else I should absolutely do? Thanks guys!
  16. Man that sucks Dan. You're in the same boat I was over Christmas. Well I just got back from a 1500 mile trip to Yellowstone/Wyoming yesterday and the car drove great. Usually on these long trips, the SES light will come on at one point during the trip. But its been 3 months now and NOTHING! I think I might have correctly diagnosed my EVAP problem. Only took 3 years! The guy pulled the Vent control valve off from the evap canister after removing a couple of bolts, and then if you look inside you'll see the Valve mechanism which moves up and down to vent the gas. Spray some wd-40 in that baby and you're good to go! All those mud and water crossings got the valve stuck.
  17. They are all accounted for. Been so busy with packing and my move to Maui that I have been neglecting them. packie88 has dibs on the last remaining black ones.
  18. Hmmm no one's mention the JWT Popcharger...I know of more than a few pathy owners including myself who have gone that route. I agree with you about piping Kris. Been wanting to get rid of that plastic restrictive stock intake pipe with the S bend. Here's a link of a guy who did that to his fronty. If you scroll down you'll see what he did to replace his intake pipe. Fronty Here's a page I've had bookmarked forever...Weapon R intake install on a 97 Pathy.
  19. Nice pics...looks like its time for some bigger tires!!! :gossip:
  20. Well I'll admit it. I once owned a Ford Ranger... It was a 1990 that I bought at a auction for $1200 and 40k miles. I had an exhaust, intake, headers and it was speedy for a 4cyl. Drove the thing for 6 years and put 100k miles on it. Never had ANY problems with it. Only maintence I spent was a new clutch and new spark plugs. It had 8 spark plugs and was a 4 cyl... you thought the 6th plug on your pathy was tough... But you should still get another Nissan at least!!!

    Accident

Wow deej, got me scared for a minute there when I read the Subject. So glad you and the fam are ok!!! Get better soon!
  22. Metal Kings? I'm not familar with those. But the PBR Metal Masters are semi-metallic.
  23. Well ok let me do some googling... Here are a couple of articles from a quick search... http://www.mr2.com/TEXT/rotors.txt NissanPerformanceMag Although the last link is littered with ads, I found it to be informative... Here's another link..this is was someones science experiment...Hey I learned something new too by reading the article... Cross Drilled Rotor Experiment
  24. What misinformation are you talking about? I can find tons of references online talking about gas build-up between rotor and pad which can be alleviated by CD rotors...
