No thats what i did because I read that you shouldn't wrap your excess line in like a coil or ball.

Hey no need to get all pissy man. When you're apart of a forum for a while and for years new people are constantly asking the same old questions, and it becomes this neverending cycle, you get kind of impatient especially when spending a couple of minutes searching for the answer will work.

It is easier to swap in my case because the Clarion connections are via a CeNet connection/cable which is Clarion exclusive. Its a square plug that connects the H/U, CD changer and EQ together and links them together. If I go to a different H/U, the cd changer plug will be completely different. I will have to find a different cable in that case. Know what I'm saying?

I'm in the market for a new Headunit now too. I'm replacing my 3rd Clarion. This last one, is a 6.5" LCD , motorized unit. I hate it...below temps of 35 degrees it won't turn on until the car is warmed up...usually takes about 20 minutes of driving before it turns on and most of the time my drives aren't that long to begin with. I realized that this is a manufacture fault as I've read reviews from other owners of this H/U and they have the same exact problem. I'm not sure if I want to stay with Clarion anymore since this will be the 3rd Clarion I'm replacing. But since I have Clarion components such as a CD changer and EQ, it will be much easier to swap in another Clarion.

Woo hoo! Congrats!

Whenever I build a site, part of it is mapping out the whole site. Ask yourself what your goal or goals are in creating this website? Is it a way for local people to log on and interact? Are you trying to convey information as well? I would start with the main page and then start with all the "subpages" or links you want to go off from that page. Basically draw a "map" and create pages in accordance to what your needs/goals are.

We need to get a front bumper made...
DJ Dank replied to tmorgan4's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I'm sure you guys have heard of CBI Offroad Fab in Idaho. There's snosk who has had a rear bumper, sliders and I believe a front bumper from them. If you click on the link you can see what kind of stuff they do. CBI OffRoad Although it says Toyota, it'll give you an idea. Just thought I'd throw another option out there. -
Ask 88, he's been 86'd from there IIRC.

Stillen PRo-x. Have had it for a few years now. Its got a nice sound to it now.

Motor went out, from what other years will swap?
DJ Dank replied to kknight's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Holy smokes..haven't seen you around in a while. -
Its nice that you have a dealer thats willing to give you that kind of advice. Most dealers would want you to buy ASAP if they know that the price will be less in a month!
-
Looks like you got a nice list of parts there! But as of recently, I'd be a little hesitant of the Kennesaw bumper since there is a member who purchased a KMA bumper and it got fubared.
-
Now that wasn't so hard was it to help out a fellow member?

I believe nissandoms47 had the EMU coils before he got the AC's. Maybe he'll chime in with a pic or two.
-
Damn that does look bad then I didn't realize until further down that you were IN the car when it happened. I would have definitely had to change my shorts!
-
Yeah I checked out the warranty info off their site. So am I have to return the defective one before I get the new one? Not sure how well that is going to do for me since this is my daily driver.
-
Yeah its bizarre. The shop is very trustworthy so I know thats not an issue. Not sure how bad the leak is, but they are going to swap in the AC front coils anyways since its all apart but I will have to replace them soon. I did purchase them from TireRack.com also...at the time they were $57 a piece and a few weeks ago they were in the mid $60's but now it seems that they are no longer being sold. But I am wondering what the warranty is on them. I may be able to dig around and find my tirerack reciept somewhere. I've only heard good things about KYB's and those who have replied only support what I've heard but part of me still is apprehensive about sticking with the KYB's. It could just be a dud/fluke I guess because apparently the driver side strut has no problems. I do plan on replacing both though however.
-
So today I've got the Pathy at the shop and they tell me that my passenger side KYB strut is bad and is leaking. It hasn't even been 2 years and MAYBE 15k miles MAX and its already leaking??? So I need to get some replacements ASAP. So now I'm alittle apprehensive about replacing them with KYB's again. What other struts have you lifted guys run with besides the KYB's? Not too sure about the Rancho's but I'd like some input from you guys as I'd like to order some ASAP. Any good online sources/links would be great!

I'm not trying to compare the two ventures. The pure fact that Tyler has produced test lifts and there are people out there who have them speaks for itself. I just love seeing pics of your guys' trucks. But what I'm saying is that I've come to realize is that these things take a long time.
-
LMAO... You've got the same look as I do...around 1inch between the tire and the flare in the wheel well. After I got my bigger tires, I went from a huge gap between my tire and fender to a tiny gap like Fueler is showing. But I expect that after tomorrow(when my lift is on) it'll increase that gap considerably. I'll definitely post pictures tomorrow or the next! As for the subframe drop lift...I've learned not to hold my breath for this kind of thing back when Lee and Phil was going to put something out to sell for us R50's and that was like 2 years ago?...They kept saying it's coming...its coming..its coming SOON...and kept pushing the date back on their website then you never heard about it again. Not to put a damper on what Tyler is trying to do with Prado nor is this a reflection of them but I'd would be surprised to see the lift being commonly sold and available like the AC lift only because of all the things involved in trying to market, produce and sell the lift. So if you plan on waiting for a lift that is "coming soon," how long are you willing to wait? A few months, a few years?

Yeah that would be creepy seeing some guy sneaking around your house taking pics...thats when I'd bring the paintball gun out and fire some body warning shots.
