  1. Hey welcome to the board! If you've got 235's as your stock tire, you've probably got an LE. The SE's had 265/70/15's as the stock tire. Summitracing.com would be a great bet for the Cragar 8's. Especially since shipping is free right now. I paid $8.95 to ship my 4 rims from them which is still a steal. Cragar 8 Looks like they're $38.95 a piece now!
  2. Get your camber bolts at Summitracing.com They are $17 for the pair IIRC. You can find your Rancho 9000x's elsewhere for cheaper than what AC sells. I got mine from Amazon.com for $60 a piece when they had a special running. I would ONLY buy the 2" coils from them since thats the only thing that you can't get elsewhere.
  3. I used only a pair of camber bolts on my lift. Some people have said they've needed a pair on each side. One thing however is you should get it realigned about a month or sooner after putting the lift on and the initial alignment. My springs must have settled quite a bit and my camber was terrible. I had some major cupping on the insides of my front tires and had it realigned and the tires rotated.
  4. I ran 31's on stock suspension for a couple of years. You will rub at full lock. You can heat the fender walls and push them in away from where it rubs to fix the situation. Or you can just lift it
  5. Wow, he's back! Nice to see you again! Nice looking car! Didn't even know that made 6 spd's of those Acura's!
  6. You can run shocks for a stock suspension but when you lift it, you would want longer shocks so you can get more travel. If you keep the stock shocks after you lift it, they won''t "extend" any extra until you do swap them out with longer ones.
  7. Nice update. I'm in the midst of replacing the restrictive pipe to my JWT Filter with a straight pipe and will post pics once its done.
  8. DEAL! When do you anticipate that will be?
  9. Yeah I've got the newer SE roof rack on my 98. But I've been searching for cross bars for them. Anyone want to sell theirs?
  10. I didn't realize that they quit making the Geolandars?! Hmmm...I was planning on getting those next. I have had the Revo's for over 3+ years now. I agree with Pezzy that they have done great. I've thrown everything at them, mud, rocks, snow , ice. Except that last month I lost one to a small pebble between the treads.
  11. With my experience with my REVO's, mud and AT does not mix well for the same exact reason you mentioned.
  12. Not only does the rear spoiler help with that but it also gives you 25+hp and if you go fast enough you can even catch flight!
  13. The one you linked to is for an OEM replacement. For that kind of money, you're better off ordering a FlowMaster or MagnaFlow and have that shipped to Canada and then find a local shop to install it.
  14. Yup I replaced the plugs with NGK Iridiums along with ngk wires and also the cap and rotor too. Have no complaints! I'll be putting the same set up on the 4runner soon also.
  15. Hey great post man! Nice pics too! Maybe someone should sticky this?
  16. Hey man. There are lots of people in the Puget Sound area on here. I'm from Lakewood but have moved away. I'm sure others will chime in.
  17. No they don't work. I've had a JWT popcharger and am pretty happy with it. It does have a little port for you to hook up the little vacuum hose to that you disconnect from the stock airbox. I've been wanting to for a long time to find a straight intake pipe to replace the lame "S" tube that is restrictive. A straight intake pipe setup like this would be nice.
  18. Hey man, I've mentioned this before but I'll tell you. When I bought my Revo's, TireRack.com had the best price I could find but shipping added about $85 to the purchase. I ended going to Costco and they had the same tire and same price but they had them order my Revo's from the Bridgestone factory because they didn't have 31's in stock. They ended arriving in 2 days and they pay for the shipping of course. On another note, I've noticed the price on the REvo's jump substantially since I've bought them about 3 years ago...I got them for $130 a piece and I see them selling for $150+ now. WTH!
  19. Looks like you managed to...LOL :tonguefinger: Congratulations!
  20. Yup, I've got a Firestik II thats 4 feet and it serves me very well. Just like Dan mentioned, I've got it tuned to just about 1:1 across all the channels. I've chatted with people on the freeway that were 50 miles away.
  21. Yes I agree about the winters. They were great through the snow and pretty decent on ice. I've always praised these tires. Its just one of those unfortunate situations.
  22. I agree with you somewhat but the gaps that are between the treads are particularly larger than the average AT tire IMO, especially after 30k miles. Like I said, I was kind of expecting that something was going to happen soon after all these tires have been through.
  23. LOL...the other side of the sidewalls, where the white letters are, are also pretty thrashed as well. I doubt that would have made a difference. I've been praising these tires since day one. This is the only time I've ever said anything negative about them. But for what its worth, these tires have gone through quite a lot and to have to replace one after all that, I guess I saw it coming but again, I would never have thought a little pebble would lead to the demise of this tire.
  24. So after about 30k miles I have a good overall feeling of how these tires have treated me these past few years. My final consensus on these tires is that I will probably try the Geolander's as my next AT tire. Today, after driving about 20 miles on washboard gravel roads up to the Boulder River, I realized that one of the rocks found its way in between one of the tread marks and the rest is history. The worst part is that I was driving about 10 miles with it mostly flat before realizing anything was wrong. By then the sidewalls were pretty much paper thin and I could hear the air hissing from the pebble. When I finally pulled over, my lug wrench did not fit my lug nuts. The wrench was too big. We're in the middle of the no where, no cell service. Luckily, less than 1/4 mile up the road, there were a whole bunch of fire crews that had a road block set up and they happened to have a lug wrench that worked. IMO the gaps between the treads are too wide and encourage rocks to get wedged up there and with the rubber in those gaps are MUCH thinner than the rubber that makes up the tread, its only a matter of time before this would happen. I noticed as the wear increased on the tire, so did the gaps between the tread. Managed to find a used AT tire at the tire shop in town and $25 later, I was on my way. I thought my REVO's were tougher than this... You can see how my alignment/camber was off after getting it aligned initially after the lift. The tread wear on the inside edge was very uneven. I had it realigned not even 2 weeks ago after getting my CV replaced. Bad angle but you can really see the bulging sidewall right in the middle of the pic and the whole sidewall is toast.
  25. Yeah I've hit about 40k on my Revo's and the tread is still holding up. I am pretty sure that I will buy another set since this winter will probably be their last one, but I've got the Geolanders right at the top of my list too from all the good things I've heard over the years.
