  5. why do you have to do all that to do a lower ball joint?? the only thing i unbolted when doing mine was the ball joint itself.
  6. well i said i'd post up mine. so here it is. all parts bought at o'reilly's. just bought a maf adaptor, used the stock housing, drilled 2 holes for the bolts, and voila. i also still have the lower portion of the airbox, because i can easily swap between them for using the snorkel off road, which hurts my gas mileage, and use the filter for DD with helps my mileage.
  7. well i got the oil changed, put engine restore in it, wiped the cap and filler tube out. have run it up and down the freeway a few times. i'm gonna change the oil again this weekend, considering the color of the oil. should i put engine restore in it on the next change as well? here's how dark the oil was that came out...
  8. and if you put them on yourself, you'll feel the weight difference. My 31 bfg's have quite some weight over my 235 geolanders. It does accelerate a little slower. And braking distance a little farther. But nothing you can't handle. And you WILL get rubbing issues, fully depending on your rim choice. Back spacing plays a big role in whether they will rub or not. Mine used to rub when reversing at full lock until i switched rims.
  9. gues i should have thought about what year his r50 was. my bad.
  10. banned for banning me because you were just banned which i dont see btw
  11. i don't even have a factory deck. I didn't even have the bose system. I just replaced the crappy clarion speakers. So changer not likely
  12. i will check it tomorrow. I use 10 30 always have.
  13. can of engine flush?? and i dont really even know where the pcv valve even is.
  14. well we're going on a pretty long drive tonight, that'll mix up whats in the engine tonight for the change tomorrow. plus it'll be almost all freeway.
  15. sorry, the one taped to the wiring harness.... lol
  16. it never really gets a chance to warm up in the mornings, and its been FREAKISHLY cold lately. the temp guage never really gets even up past a quarter on my normal just go to work and come home days.
  17. just checked all my fluids, thats what brought this up. only thing that was low was my brake fluid. i did have a steel coolant tube right before the thermo crack on me a few weeks back. antifreeze level has remained the same since i fixed that i almost don't want to do the oil change tomorrow, idk if i want to see how it looks lol and i make ALOT of short trips. i only live 3 miles from work. and i'm due for emissions in the next 2 weeks too. the CEL has been on for months. this just keeps getting better and better
  18. could it have been the powder snow drifts, and having the cone filter, perhaps, being a bad combination and letting snow/water in through the intake? cause it wasnt like this when i posted about getting broke down a few weeks ago.
  19. i'm only burning oil though, not antifreeze...?
  20. was workin behind the stereo and found this stray plug taped to the wiring harness back there. looks almost identical to the ones that plug into my heated seat switches. any idea what it would do if it had its own switch?
  21. i'm doing an oil change tomorrow, and putting that engine restore in it. but i went to top off and found this @!*% inside the oil filler tube and all over the oil cap..... WHAT IS IT!!!
