    Act Smart!

    Explosions are awesome
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-HATCH-LIFT-SUPPORTS-SHOCKS-93-94-95-NISSAN-PATHFINDER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem518ed04f35QQitemZ350288367413QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories $30 for the pair. I found some ones for the lift glass as well.
  3. I got a good pair from a junker at the junkyard for mine. Only for the whole gate though. the glass I can't find any decent ones. Both pairs i've gotten have been bad. I'd prefer to just put the new on and they're fine for a few years.
  4. yes. it's attached to the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Like I said, I don't remember off the top of my head how many teeth is on the one for the 31" tires. And the Nissan dealer doesn't either. I tried. Somebody around here may notice if they've messed around with it.
  5. You can replace the gear on your speed sensor if you're upgrading to 31's. I can't remember how many teeth the ones for the 31" tires had though.
  6. I always liked the gamey taste of Duck. I don't mind it that much at all. I've had smoked horseradish cheese. wasn't too bad.
  7. None of my domestics have squeaked. Everyone I work with has rattle traps it seems also i don't see the point of a heated steering wheel. steering wheel audio controls are alright. But i don't like them if the radio isn't that hard to reach.
  8. I don't think you'd be so fine at 40+ mph without a belt. But both have positives and negatives.
  9. the locker on the seatbelt had failed and the airbag deployed enough to keep me from slamming head first into the dash and possibly the windshield. So I would have been "fine" i'm sure except for the whole blunt force trauma and probable death. Call me silly for having SOME respect for a "useless" and "deadly" feature that saved my life. Edit: just looked it up. Since 1990 there have been 260 direct airbag related deaths. 90% of them being children and infants. Who should logically be in the backseat anyway. That's the research I'm finding.
  10. I do. I wish I still had it. Probably the best car to date I think I've ever owned. Most comfortable next to the Pathfinder and Suburban. I miss it.

    Very Odd Question

I ended up buffing toothpaste onto the lenses. It worked for the most part. Started wearing off after a few hours of being crazy in the mosh pit and what not. But for the most part I couldn't complain. i'll try that cat crap stuff after I pay my parking ticket. Of ALL the things to get a parking ticket for, I got ticketed for backing into a space rather than pulling in. gotta love Baltimore City.
  12. Cheap solder. Most solder should be fine but I've seen quite a few cheap solder materials that are questionable.
  13. Yeah one of the problems too is it starts breaking down the old gunk and sometimes that's the only thing that's keeping the gaskets from leaking in the first place. i'd much rather use synthetic.
  14. I've seen a hot day where it's weakened the solder. Like a really hot day. poor quality solder more than likely.
  15. Probably too heavy of an oil. i ran synthetic in my 94 Camaro.
  16. exactly. and yeah soldering them seems like the best bet so they don't break loose. even then if the truck gets hot enough the solders may come loose.
  17. Oh god. I hate to laugh. But damn. I lol'd hard. But yeah. only thing you can do is splice them together the best you can so nothing comes loose. Next time, do some research before you start cutting wires to avoid something like this.
  18. An air bag saved my life so forgive me if I am favorable to them.
  19. Or you roll your "superior" pathfinder or your lack of crumple zones results in you being a unpretty mark on the road. I love all the new safety advances. I'd much rather a safe vehicle. New cars are fine to work on if you know what you're doing.
  20. Yeah. I dunno about an actual logo though. Maybe a small sticker that blends in with the striping like some automakers do wouldn't be bad. I don't like the F-Series harleys either.
  21. I think it's too big. The positive about the Harley trucks is it's that size logo on a full-size truck. The Hardbody is a minitruck, so the pathfinder of the time I suppose would be as well. the logo there just looks excessively big.
  22. The automatics I've seen problems with. Not so much the 5-speeds. I don't mind automatics. I drive a lot in traffic and I have problems with my left knee. So a manual can be quite a bother. Although the clutch is heavier on my S10 than the Pathfinder. Automatics now are caught up to manual transmissions. Well. Some. But this isn't about that debate. If I were to get a new sedan there's much more out there that I'd rather get for what they want for the Taurus. Add on top of that it's a new vehicle so you've got to worry about what problems will arise from it.
  23. Yeah the old SHOs were great for their time. Only real issue was it liked to eat timing belts and changing the back bank of plugs was quite a pain
