  1. I agree with 88, as soon as I read, he wanted to know where to place the JACK, I thought OH CRAP! the first crushed to death NPORA member!!! And maybe we should'nt give him anymore tips! You should have at least basic knowledge of how to turn a wrench, where to safely jack up a car...ANY CAR....and how to work safely in general before takling any work under, over, around, above, beside, (did I forget any ) any vehical.... But anyway...I digree.....WELCOME LEXTRONIX! Everyone here is ery cool and extremely helpful.....I know you'll enjoy it. And hopefully learn alittle along the way...Like we all have! Wow...too much typing...my fingers are tired....i need to cool them while wrapping them around a beer!
  2. When you say "Coil Spark Plugs" do you mean the plugs themselves or the coil? I'm not sure the R50's have a coil persay. All i see on my 97 is the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
  3. I would buy one if the price is right! I am still trying to fiure out how to make one myself.
  4. I am usually pretty good with researching my own projects, but this one has me stumped. I called the $^^&(@(*) at AC and asked for the info on the rear trailing arm bushings. I was told that the upper (Smaller tubes) and the lower (Larger diameter tube) bushings are the exact same size? Being forver pesimistic...I called my local dealership parts guys and asked them for a price...thats where the confusion set in The dealership told me the uppers were a different size bushing compared to the lowers? Now i crawled under it today and although they do look different sizes the round joint that is welded to the rod and holds the bushings are the same size upper and lower......Whats up with the picture posting? I can't post anymore? Anyway...any help would be appreciated BTW I HAVE A 1997 SE
  5. Hey Pickles, your right on with the "IF YOU'RE PATIENT" slogan when it comes to EBay....Patience is a virtue i've never had.....along with a few others...(my wife will send anyone the list if you request it!) I went with the Wally world lights for the same reason as DSM...Cheap, and quick....specially since i tend to break things rather easily....
  6. Hey "DSM" are all those ones on the bar the WalMart 55Watts? It looks Sweet! :cool2:
  7. I wish this forum didnt have that darn net nanny crap!!!!!! :furious: BTW what wattage are they?
  8. I bought a set of 55 watt lights from WalMart for $20 and i finished installing them yesterday...since the picture posting doesn't work the link below will show all the installation... Off Road light install
  9. i haven't switched from a WD21, but i've owned a 97 for 5 years and the only complaint I have is lack of aftermarket items....(Suspension, bumpers, performance items, etc...) Other than that, i love my 97. I would check out the aftermarked world first and find which year R50 has the most parts available for your liking! Good Luck

    headers

Thorley's are awesome headers...I had a set on my 1970 Chevelle and never ever had a leak. Never had to retighten them either. Slightly more expensive than others, but the quality is worth every penny

    Gear Ratio

I'm looking to change my gears for future towing of a trailer and the addition of 32" tires. But I don't know the original gear ratio. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all
  13. Those wheels and tires look great on your black Pathy... Ive been looking at those 32" Dunlops but I want some sort of shiny rim...My truck is white...I dont think the black rims would look good. How much was the whoe setup? HEY WHEEL366- what year is your Pathy? You said you are installing a Calmini lift? I didnt know they made one for R50's? darn VENGEFUL....you Pathy looks sweet!!!
  14. OUCH :X What happened???? Give us all the dirty details!

    OOOPS

That's why you (CHROMOTECH) install some quick disconnects....easily disconnect them why off roading and reconnect them when you're done. HEy REIDO!....post some photos or how bout giving us all an explination of how you did the disconnects?
  18. SERIOUS? I kinda jokingly said that everyone probably used double sided tape...but i was joking! WOW....OK i'll try it.. Thanks MR Pickles
  19. I did my lift (KYB Struts, 4 Springs, and Bilstein rear shock) it took about 12-14 hours non stop. Check out my web site with the photos Lift Kit Install Items you need Metric wrench and socket set Allen wrench set (Metric) Strut Spring compressor (TWO) ($20 deposit each at a Auto Parts Store) Floor Jack ($40 at Wal Mart) Jack stands ($20 at Wal Mart) Penetrating Oil Helpful items Impact driver (reversable) Rent it Impact sockets If you have any questions just e-mail me
  20. I see several Pathy's (like 88's) with the diamond plate rocker guards. How do you attach them? I dont see any bolts or screws! Thanks. Also, if anyone is looking for a fairly inexpensive metal supply, check out the link Online Metal
  21. I like the site....nice work on the skids...
  22. I just e-mailed L&P and asked them for some photos to be posted on their site.....We'll See!
  23. If you live near an AutoZone Auto Parts you can rent strut spring compressors for $20 each per day. If you return them they give you 100% of your money back!!!! Not a bad deal. I would send you photos of my install, but my hard drive crashed before I could back up....so I lost like 3 months of photos!!! I have some on my web site, but some of the links aren't working My Webpage
  24. I am at fault too....SORRY! Also tooo lazy! BUT! I DID resize them....88's right we need to help Jim keep his costs down and web site/forum speed UP!
  25. Struts alone will NOT lift the truck....but putting some taller springs on the existing struts will. I suggest replacing the struts when you do the lift....it will ride soooo much better with everything new. The only problem with taller springs on the front is that it will cause the front struts to be virtually maxed out. That means the front whells will have very little down travel (Towards the ground) before they max out. I have the Automotive Customizers 2" lift on my 97 (2 Struts, 4 coils, 2 shocks) running 31" BFG AT KO's with no problems....I have done a ton of research on the actual sizes of specific brands of 32's and 33's and the 32's seem to be the perfect size for a 96 and up pathy with a 2" lift. 33's seem to be a little too large to fit on the front....probably have some rubbing on the front outside edge of the fender well. Hope this helps...I would give photos, but I lost my hard drive last week and lost a ton of stuff. Keith
