If you don't cross too many deep water areas it should be OK...

I've met one so far Lovebunny....gave him my free 97 Lego rims....Not too many people here in SoCal (San Diego)
-
Make sure you replace them with grade 8 not the cheap crappy grade 5. Try going to Grainger or Mcmaster-Carr, or do a Google or Yellow pages search for a fastner company local to you.

sorry for your loss....at least it was only the car and not your life!

Nice Photos.....Man I want to go!!!! Hey Pezzy, Nice and warm here in SoCal with a small amount of scary creatures....A few rattlers, tarantula (in my pool), and a lot of black widow and brown recluse spiders....but my dog keeps them all at bay... Ican't figure out how to attach multiple pictures to one post so here are three

Linkin Park, Metallica, Bad Religion, Rage, Social D, mostly stuff like that...No Techno in my car PLEASE! It gives me a headache

I can vouche (sp?) for Thorley's, only not for a Pathy. I had a set for my 70 Chevelle that were trouble free for 7 years, only had to re-torque the bolts once. Good quality steel, good MIG welded seams and collector etc...

Bingo, that's exactly right....The car parts places usually have the gapper devices at the counters for like $.50

I believe the rated mileage on my 1997 when new was bad. Heres a link Gas Mileage

Hey Welcome Back MM!!!! Glad to see you here safe and sound!

Exactly....The truck was designed to have a certain amount of resistance in its stock stance....the higher you go the more that resistance is altered.......Sorry im not an airflow specialist so that's about all I can figure
-
Also keep in mind if you increase the amount of air entering the cylinder, Cold air intake/K&N etc....the car now has to feed more fuel to mix with the increased airflow so the air/fuel mix stays right. Thats how you feel better throttle response and maybe even actually rear wheel HP increase when you do things like cold air intake, headers, free flow exhaust.....

My mileage on my 97 4x4 se with 32" BFG AT's is at best 13MPG Highway. I think the original tire size was either a 28 or 29 depending on if you have an XE, LE or SE. So if basic calculatins mean anything, i hav a 2" lift with tires that are 3" at least larger than stock, which basically puts me 5 inches over stock with the stock gear ratio..... When I bought it in 99 or 2000 i was only getting 15-17 on the highway!

I'm an old muscle car guy too, 70 Firebird formula 400, 1970 Cutlass, and my last mistress was a 1970 Chevelle 396 (Non SS, not original Motor) Go with a custom bent aluminized pipes and a Flowmaster 50 or 40 series, it'll probably be the same price as an HKS stainless system, and sound better too. I had my Chevelle done 1 year ago with Thorley Headers and dual aluminuzed 2.5" pipes with a crossover and two 50 series Flowmasters for $1500. They did a great job, couldn't see anything under the car unless you laid under it and looked.

LOL Nice Avatar Pezzy!!! That's too funny!

I think he recommends removing those two bars, which only serve to support the plastic skid.
-
LOL yeah, probably not! Although she's getting zero MPG right now (broken ) I can't see getting rid of my Path anytime soon. Due to gas prices or otherwise. LOL Red i was talking about my wife! LOL
-
LMAO..No sound bites but definitely agree with you on the giving up on the HP gains!!!
-
Mine hasn't been lit since I bought it in 99!
-
Two words for you Veng...YOU SUCK! No...definitely try to show the install and if possible some sound recordings....I use to use a really long cable on a cheap computer MIC to get to the garage, to record my Chevelle

I carry an old pool cue....Two days after finding a good place inside the truck to store it, i decided to try this small (So it seemed) puddle that was only on the passenger side and was only like 4-5' long, of course I didn't use the pool cue.....BAM!!! Right front falls into a 3' deep pit from hell! The ground was level with the passenger window, i almost slid out of my seat and into the passenger seat! After an hour of waiting for AAA (I was on an unincorporated road, had a name and a street sign, only to have the tow truck driver tell me no way he was afraid he'd get stuck, I walked him along the way I thought he should use to get to me, and along with $40 he yanked me out! USE THE TOOLS YOU BRUNG...DUMBASS!
