  1. I just know how shops work up here. They tell you to leave them and they'll get around to it. Are you saying all they need to do is check them for trueness? I don't want to get into valve jobs and whatever. It runs fine. Just loses coolant and overheats.
  2. If that's really necessary I might just swap in another motor....I don't really want to wait weeks to get it fixed.
  3. The color looks normal, but if you're concerned about the sludge, run chevron conventional or Pennzoil (the yellow bottle). They both have a lot of detergents.
  4. Tested and confirmed one of the head gaskets on my new to me truck is farked. Time to learn how to rip the motor apart lol.
  5. The 1-2 shift is always hard. It's actually better for the trans as it doesn't slip the clutches to make a smooth shift like most do.
  6. I like these. Will have to pick some up from you, Steve.
  7. It was sitting in the brockville Canadian tire parking lot until tonight if you wanted to see
  8. One of my friends here has a 95 with 415k. My old one was at 430~ish when I sold it. It ran like new but was rusty. I just bought a nice black 95 Se 5 speed this weekend. Vancouver truck so rust is minimal. Only 200k km.
  9. It's either the valve covers or the rear main seal.
  10. Usually they only fail if retards don't put them back in all the way after a transmission swap or something.
  11. That's excellent. Especially on 33s. I can only seem to muster up 20mpg lately.
  12. You should use the longer one. More filtering capacity. No big deal. In the aftermarket world they're all number 7317.
  13. You know it could just be the rear o2 sensors have failed. Those are alot cheaper than cats. And I think since only the main cats are monitored, you'd only have to change those. I would just delete the secondary ones or leave them alone.
  14. You will probably have to change or move it. When I put my xterra tranny in the xterra tcase one actually was set better for the body lift, lol.
  15. Get one from a wreckers then...Or call your insurance. It should be covered under fire/theft/vandalism.
  16. Thanks, I don't see anything wrong under the hood, but I could hear the alty whining really loudly and i could smell a burning smell last night. This was probably a few hours after the hit. I got hit right in the right front tire. My friends brother is a mechanic and he looked last night and said it looks like the LCA and one of the tie rods is bent. But we won't know till it gets on a rack...I need to find out if the alty farked off because of the hit or just a ****** coincidence.
  17. I'm fine and it was drivable last night. But this morning it would not start. It was making a horrible noise from the alty last night. The alignment is screwed and so is one of my rims.
  18. Got t-boned in it...these things are tanks. Though she will need repairs.
  19. The manual cross over pipe runs closer to the tranny, so with an auto it may not clear the pan? Mine went in relatively smooth....I paid someone to do it lol. But I was almost on deaths door at the time. They didn't have that hard of a time. Mine were a used set from a member here.
  20. Been there, done that. Was much worse than that on my old rig though.
  21. I would lower the t-bars and either trim the fenders or get smaller tires...
  22. Well that would get me halfway there, lol. I need both sides and probably a cable.
  23. I put mine in from the front of the axle. Rotate it slightly to clear the gas tank. I did it without jacking anything but it took some thought while laying down there.
  24. What is it in liters and km? You'll confuse most of the muricans on the board that can't figure out simple math but that's okay
