  1. When one of my alt's was acting up, the battery light NEVER came on, not even when the key was on with the truck off. I thought the bulb was dead, until the alt quit and I replaced it, and then the light works again....
  2. Just to set things straight. It's a timing belt, not a chain.
  3. But does the rotor turn? If it doesn't your timing belt could have broke.
  4. Check to see if a wire pulled out of the plug for the sensor. That's what happened to mine.
  5. While ten less amps doesn't sound like much it could be causing the problem. You should just return it and buy a 93 maxima vg30 alternator. It is a bolt in swap other than swapping pulleys and you get 90 amps. Best of all it is usually cheaper than the pathfinder one!
  6. Mine does this too. I really think it has to be the bushings in the rear end trailing arms. I never thought to test to see if 4wd makes a difference.
  7. New front swaybar links yesterday, and got snow tires on today. Will see if they actually make any difference.
  8. With my 33x12.5's I find my truck eats idler arm bushings and upper ball joints. That and it will gear down to 3rd climbing any grade in a headwind. I got some 265 75 15 winter tires from a family friend that I got mounted this weekend. I am looking forward to having some mileage and power back, LOL.
  9. What happened to Slart happened to me with my old pathy after having it for 6 years. I was at a party and a friend's drunk girlfriend was trying to wedge herself between the front drivers seat and the door opening. Hilarious, it was.
  10. Its the one with two white wires and one black. Or vice versa. I can't remember.
  11. Anything after the o2 sensor won't affect it.
  12. Do you have spark at the plugs? Does the rotor turn when you try to start it?
  13. If it runs fine cold then acts up hot, most likely a sensor. I'm betting o2 or the coolant temperature sensor. There is only one o2 sensor on these.
  14. I bought the spectra premium one. Made pretty well and in Canada even!
  15. I say it is the tires, only because I have duratracs and they do the same thing. Keep bugging them till they replace them.
  16. That is listed wrong. I bought one off rockauto that said 15 gallons but it turned out to be 21...And it has those dimensions. I compared it to my stock tank I took out. Also I have seen many a wd21 pathfinder, and I have NEVER seen one with a 15 gallon tank. That would just blow having that ****** of a range... The guy who bumped this thread, I bet your gauge is off, try bringing a jerry can with you and see how long you go.
  17. What about your coolant temperature sensor? They are cheap but easy to check. What about your grounds? I was chasing a slight miss and found my main neg cable was loose where it contacts the body. It also solved about 10 other little issues. Any exhaust leaks? And did you ever check the ignition timing?
  18. Replace the ecu? That's pretty extreme...they hardly ever fail and I would suspect a sensor way before that.
  19. Who is Manuel and what's wrong with his transmission?
  20. You can also unplug it and see if it drives better. It would still run rich though
  21. If the o2 sensor is original, change it.
  22. If you ever come out this way you can see mine!
