Black smoke is too much fuel. Mine used to bog down in the 2800-3200 range when the o2 sensor was gone. I drove it 5 hours like that, it just got terrible mileage.

I believe the wiring goes like this: Fuse panel /ground somewhere -> seat (all wd21s have this wire with a blue plug under their seat) --> switch (there are 2 plugs on my seat, the one on the floor fit into one side, and I assume that the other plug is for the section of wiring to go to the switch. Hey Dhardison, does that orange-ish part of your switch light up when you turn on the heat?

It's the Napa "gold" filter that is the wix one. That is the one I use.

That tire shine stuff does wonders for faded black plastics.

All I did was line up the marks, remove belt, reinstall belt and count teeth. Seems to run fine. Maybe I will have it checked.

I got a question, when I did my timing belt I didn't time the spark? Was I supposed to or is there something you removed that I missed in this thread?

Didn't on mine. Though I only left it unplugged long enough to take on the highway and back home to test it out. So It might not have been unplugged long enough.

It says right in the manual to use ATF for the PS so that's what's in mine.

For the diff and tcase I believe you just open the fill plug and if the oil is up to the bottom of the plug hole it is full. At least that's how I was told to check it.

Funny my crappy, slow, "anemic" 3 liter motor uses 0 quarts per 5k miles. And its got 175k on it. X2 Can really feel the difference. Though there are FAR slower vehicles than a WD21, though. I've seen a 5 speed VG33E r50 chirp the tires shifting into second gear.

Try unplugging the switch maybe it will disable the circuit?

Unplug the o2 sensor and if it runs better the sensor is bad. (it will use default settings in the computer with it unplugged)

X2 Also that power light can blink indicating issues with the trans that are electrical so don't get rid of it.

You can't just buy another one that is the same. They are all different, for a reason! Usually a tire shop can remove them, but it will destroy the nut. Have you checked everywhere for the piece? (glovebox, spare tire tool bag)

Mine did that, and it was the o2 sensor.

You know the minute you throw something out you'll need it!

How much are the fuel lines?

My frame was like magregors, dirt wise, when I got it. If you put your finger in the hole (lol) you couldn't push down at all. Luckily the previous owners had taken decent care of it so it wasn't rotted.

Could it be a brass bushing? I've seen the outer part before on other machines.

If it already has an aftermarket stereo, chances are it has the adapter, but if it doesn't you'll need to go and buy one.
