Yeah they do make a difference, there is a big difference in the sound with them I find. They are very good tweeters for oem. The factory system isn't bad but if you have an aftermarket deck make sure to do this bypass mod for the amps: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=24612 It is easy and allows you to go back to stock anytime.

Get rid of those pods they are such a waste of space. The 93-95 have 5x7 rears instead of 6x9s but there is a lot more room in the back without them.

Yes definitely make sure the TPS is adjusted properly or the trans will shift funny. I messed with mine once and now the tranny won't shift into 2nd below 2k rpm

Well you need to state what kind of driving that was. City? Highway? Fast? Slow? Beat the @!*% out of it acceleration or granny style? Even in all city driving I don't get that low of mileage though.
