Sounds like the starter may have bit the dust. Before you buy anything though I would clean the battery terminals and make sure they are on tight. It's free and can't hurt.

Question I have is how often should these bushings get changed? I have the bushings, and rods simon had on his old rig, they weren't very old but the bushings and sleeves already showed signs of wear.

Well while I was in WA mister510 and I adjusted my steering box with the deadly steering box adjustment screw that isn't to be messed with. We turned it about 1/4 turn and now it feels like new. No binding at all and hardly any feel-able play in the center when the truck is running.

Any parts store should be able to get them or even have them in stock. You might have to ask for strut rod bushings (I have no idea why they call them that) Rockauto.com also has them and they are a vendor here so you can get a 5% discount.

My friend has one of those it looks nice but man its more gutless than the pathfinder is.

You can either weld a washer over the hole the size of the new tension rod with the bushing sleeve over it or you can fill the hole in and re drill it. What I had done to mine is they welded a washer to the back side and fill welded from the front, its all good now. You have to fix the hole or it will wear the new bushings out in no time (learned this one myself) and may cause the truck to shake or wobble.

The first thing is called the tension rod. It is a common problem on pathfinders for the bushings to wear and allow the rod to move around, and oval out the hole. There is supposed to be a bushing cup there too. The second thing is your swaybar link. looks like it's seen better days. A new set of those can be had cheap.

Check your tie rods and centerlink. How many miles on it?

Shift higher man, you're lugging the engine too much and it struggling to build up speed. When I drove a 5 speed pathy I shifted around 2500-3000 and it got 16-18mpg city driving.

Yeah that sounds like your issue. I don't know how to fix it because I've never had that problem to be honest.

There is a little rubber hose connecting two metal pieces of pipe on or near the egr, mine had a split in it and set that code.

It's on the right side of the intake manifold. It has a hose clamped on to it and it screws into the intake manifold. Sorry I don't have a pic but maybe someone else does.

Is the brake rotor dust shield bent or deformed at all. Mine made weird noises.

If the light on the dash doesn't come on, its not the vacuum hose. It's either the contacts in the steering wheel, or the brake pedal switch. Try disconnecting the switch and jumpering the connector. That is what I did and mine started working again. Test it out in an area where the road is empty.

91 and prior pathy's seem to rust less. Body wise they all rust the same but frame wise the 92-95 is the worst. Tungsten has a 4door 91 in new jersey and the frame is mint. And it's been in that state for over 10 years.

I still haven't been able to get mine perfectly level! It's a pain because after it settles its different again lol.
