Yeah that stud missing will definitely cause a tick. My gas mileage sucks not too because it's winter. They changeover to the "winter gas". If you smell gas in the exhaust maybe you're running rich, like a bad o2 sensor or something.

You shouldn't have to take the timing belt covers off to do the thermostat. I was able to get to it with just taking the AC belt idler pulley/bracket thing off and the fan shroud. Taking the fan off would make it even easier. I would try wiggling your MAF sensor wires while the truck is idling weird. Very common problem. It is the one in the tube near the air filter.

Front main seal is easy, you can do that one while you do the timing belt job. The rear you gotta pull the tranny. I would try some lucas oil additive and see if that quiets it down a bit and slows/stops the leak. At 170,000 miles the engine is just broken in!

It does run off a different pump. You should be able to hear it running if it's working. It's in the passenger wheel well area behind the splash guard IIRC.

That is a little excessive I think.

I used the ngk G-power plugs and it runs great and gets decent mileage. That is what came out of the truck so that is what I put in. The set that was in there lasted 80,000kms (of my driving, who knows how old they were) before I had any issues. I remember when Brandon and I did our plugs on the same day and he had the basic ngks. Anything from 96-2000 should work. In 2001 the pathfinder got the vq motor and the tranny will not bolt up to a vg engine.

And I mean 94-95 style dash. I saw it on an SE 94 and an LE 95. They also had the digital trip meters.

I've seen a couple pathfinders with the dash shift indicator.

I don't know how many amps the cig lighter circuit pops the fuse at but I have my cb, cig lighter with gps, cell phone and power inverter all running off of it and it hasn't blown the fuse and the wiring doesn't seem to get hot.

I used the center console to mount my switches. I just drilled holes in the blanks and the switches fit perfect.

You say you wanna do the rear lift right but still want to do spacers? You can get some coils out of the front of a v8 Jeep Cherokee if you want.

If it takes the same amount of time it would seem like the 02 sensor or the Coolant temperature sensor. Try unplugging the o2 sensor and see if it runs better. It is one of the connections at the little post of them near the power steering fluid reservoir. I believe the wires are white and black there are 3 wires.

If your heat is not burn your hands hot in Florida, you have a problem. Even here in Canada in -30 (sometimes) the heater gets really hot. I had the lukewarm heat thing before and a new thermostat fixed it.

Yeah I've done that before. Twice.
