  1. 33s will lower the rpms. When I run my 33's I have rpms like silvertons. It will not make the mileage any better though.
  2. Is this the same stuff you use to install glass? Where do you get it?
  3. The computer under the passengers seat is the engine Ecu. The transmission one is behind one of the rear panels in the cargo area.
  4. That would be best, you can just nurse it along for now adding coolant, even if it is just for a week or two. Is it dripping a lot or just a little?
  5. Or swap the bulbs from side to side and see if that makes the issue follow the bulb, at least rule that out.
  6. I would seriously recommend not re using the timing belt if you can help it at all. If you re set the tension on it and it is not a fresh belt you greatly increase the chance of it breaking or stripping some teeth.
  7. Yes it would fit. The only thing I had to do to put an 02 xterra (also vg33) transmission in my 94 was swap the sub harness because the xterra one had a different plug at the engine bay side...Just unplugged it from the old trans sensors and plugged it into the new ones and it was good to go.
  8. Yea they aren't too expensive and most stores have them. 5/16" FI hose and clamps.
  9. You should post them, I need to pull the plenum as well, need to do valve cover gaskets.
  10. There is a gasket for the seal retainer. I guess you could use rtv or whatever, but when I bought my rear main seal it came with a new gasket for the retainer...Another thing is to make sure the seal goes in straight. Mine was replaced by the PO and it leaked because it was sitting on a slight angle.
  11. The middle wire is the ground wire. Like said above the other thing is shielding braid
  12. Good quality spacers are fine IMO but they are hard on wheel bearings.
  13. I did that twice with the blower on my old rig, then it finally stopped for good, in the middle of winter of course. My 94 seems to have an aweful vibration when the blower is on max, will have to inspect sometime. Today I took the shims out from behind my uca to see if I can finally get a half decent alignment and not have so much positive camber.
  14. Wait you are running two different tires on the rear end with an lsd? That could be causing your problem and it is not good for the diff...
  15. If you mean the trim that goes at the bottom of the door windows, it is dealer only unfortunately. Try alkorahil on here he can get it cheaper.
  16. Also, I bought a 180 thermostat instead of the 170. Seem to get a lot nicer heat out of it that way.
  17. Sounds like a bad thermostat. Mine did the same thing.
  18. They're not bad. Tires they have always been in stock when I went to buy some, even my 33" duratracs, they just had to get them from the warehouse which took a few hours. But parts they never have anything for a pathfinder in stock and it always takes a couple hours which is a pita when I want something now haha.
  19. I would check the ECU for codes (look in the how to section). Even if there is no engine light a code can still be there. You can check the IACV with a multi meter, it is in the service manual, which you can find in this section too. I believe the ecu takes over after the engine has reached a certain temp. It is fairly quick on warm days.
  20. It is. The dura Trac is the one goodyear sells everywhere.
  21. I had the same tires on my pathy here in ottawa. They are great in the winter and in mud.
  22. Been trying to figure out why she is so hard on fuel lately. Don't remember if it was before the trans swap or not. Thinking my 02 sensor might have crapped out again, or it's my seized fan clutch.
  23. The gaskets that come with them should be fine. I used a little copper RTV on mine, and no leaks. If all the studs and nuts come off nicely I would leave them be. Make sure you clean ALL the old gasket off of the head though. I just had to remove my header while replacing the transmission, and I didn't scrap it all off, and now I have a leak.
  24. First pull the dizzy cap and try and crank it, see if the rotor turns. That will tell you at least if the timing belt is broken or not. The ecu's in these almost never fail. So I would not buy one of those just yet.
